I hate, despise, loathe and abhor the current torrent of mindless softcore fanservice-based crap like To-Love-Ru Darkness and all that other crap with is just 21 minutes of coming up with shitty excuses to show girls' tits and have loser guys faceplant into their crotches, because it's just giving you a shitty version of what hentai anime does much better while pretending to be a "real anime" despite having plots that are just mindless garbage (seriously, I've seen a lot of hentai with better plots than the tripe they're spewing out now). If I want to fap, I got hentai, but if I want to watch anime, there's REAL anime for that.
Monster Musume is the exception to that because, unlike all the other fanservice-garbage out there, there is NO hentai at all that offers what it does. Seriously, I've put in quite a lot of effort, and there is NO actual monstergirl hentai anime out there (despite monstergirl hentai manga and even games like Monster Girl Quest being quite common and popular). Well, the "original" work had a generic MC, but each monster was living with a different brother (think Jenny and Joy from Pokémon). With this series he used a similar character design but put the girls all latched onto one guy. His genericness actually plays well into the story since he became a host by coincidence.

The anime fucked up some of the delivery of the comedy. Why the fuck is everything so dark that gives off a series tone. Crab-Man's manga is definitely not like that. Anime looks beautiful but the execution sucks.

So. can anyone give me reason why I should continue watching this? Yes it's unique, yes it has slightly more brains than your average harem how they tries to corporate issues with the monsters' instincts and physiologies, but in the end it still feels like a generic harem with just a different skin to me.
