Does anyone else feel that this is a parody of Dragon Quest?
I felt the same when I saw the title's typography being identical to Dragon Quest. Though when I said it I was written off by people for thinking I was overthinking it.
The material in the official website directly mocks Dragon Quest cliches, such as the stingy king who won't spend more than a handful of chump change to get your party started to the part where your character can't jump over the fence and can rob every villager blind and how the demon lord really slacks around.
You haven't watched the live action Hero's Quest have you anon?

I'm reminded of that moment during Macross when the three Zentradi are watching the Miss Macross Contest and are debating what the girls are wearing when they preform the Swimsuit competition. It's pretty good. I wasn't aware it was going to be only 5-min, so my jaw dropped when it suddenly ended after what I thought was the opening. Darn. I wish it were a full anime.
