A slew of PVs have been divulged for the upcoming anime “Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite Kaku Tatakaeri“, sure to give the recruiting drive of the Japan Self Defense Force more publicity amongst Japan’s patriotic if unfit otaku legions, in line with its apparent recruitmentgoals.

Great, I was wondering when/if they would make anime for this manga. Don't know about the full show but at least from the PV's the quality looks good. Can't wait!
I don't think it'll work as a recruitment material.
Maybe it'll look different in full anime, but what I got from those PV's is that Japanese army is useless.
Small girl in frilly dress can make them run for their money, and their soldiers are as effective as ancient Roman style troopers with pointy sticks.

Eh? The frilly dress girl is on their side. In general the manga has the JDSF owning everything they meet with almost comic ease. Cuz, y'know, roman style foot troops vs machine guns, mine fields and artillery.

Besides, the axe loli is a champion of a death god, so kind of a special case even if she were an antagonist.
