Devoted seiyuu followers have participated in a survey seeking to rank the top 20 most talented seiyuu singers, unsurprisingly bringing up some frequently mentioned celebrity names, with an even more unsurprising star singer at the number one spot.

You clearly haven't seen many Japanese women if you can't tell a 60 year old from a 20. There are obvious signs. I suggest visiting the country and seeing for yourself, you'd be able to easily guess who is 20s/30s/40s age by appearance alone.

it's mostly the production that's pushing the gig on her. female seiyuu nowadays are expected eventually to sing at some point in their career cuz sometimes, the show just demands for it.
agree, she can't sing but like the previous commentary, she sing it's mainly for selling CDs.
They can make shitloads of money off collector otaku doing image song CDs and tie-in songs and because most of the shows getting made now are moe and harem shows, they needs lots of female voice actresses to sing. Mainstream anime that don't pander can have someone else sing the songs but if it's a harem or moe anime it's pretty much guaranteed that one of the voice actresses will be singing the theme songs, too.

Probably because the last thing she did was long enough to be over shadowed by others. Though she's done other things her only claim to fame is Macross Frontier. (Yeah she's done other things like Basquatch and Lagrange)

You're joking right? All of Nana's song are extremely melodic; a history of anisongs she can't grow out of.
Perhaps I should have said "even more", then. She has many, but for my personal tastes I wish there were still more. Like for example in Nanoha Vivid the OP sounds less melodic than Tamura Yukari's ED. Nana is so good she can pull off any kind of song, so I'm just talking about my own preferences.

Yeah I don't put much stock in any of Sankaku's lists, and having this list without Nao Touyama doesn't change my mind on that matter.
My personal best singers list would rank who has the best tits. I gotta be able to fap to them at the very least.
