Atelier Sophie Announced

Gust have announced the latest entry into the Atelier franchise will be “Atelier Sophie: Fushigi na Hon no Renkinjutsushi” (“The Alchemy of the Mysterious Tome”), unsurprisingly starring an alchemy-obsessed girl as the heroine – and leaving viewers to suspect that the gameplay may perhaps be similar to that of previous titles, due to the lack of information.

The lovely Sophie was featured on the cover of the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation, while Famitsu was given the honor of bearing news of the announcement – in addition, a trailer was also unleashed:

Atelier Sophie is in development for PS4, PS3 and Vita; the game will launch on September 25th.

As always since Atelier Totori plus in Vita
It's always Digital Version. I prefer Physical.
    Digital around 37$ , Physical 40$
Dunno with PS3/PS4 , but Vita always end up in Digital
Even if Escha & Logy have Physical
    It doesn't have Eng Text
    Yeah , I'm a weaboo!!

as long as the game is popular in Japan it will have sequel no matter what "For the sake of Fans/Players"

like Hyperdimension already a lot of sequels and spin offs
    also Tales of __ia series
    also Final Fantasy __ series

You should take the 'ia' off of the Tales series naming template. Tales of the Abyss exists.

    And Tales of Destiny!
There are a lot more that don't finish with -ia like Heart, Rebirth, etc but they aren't as well known titles. I wonder if there's a main and sub dev team.

Insanely large sales, really, they sell a lot of this shit so how wouldn't they have funds ?

Keep in mind they re-use their textures and majority of worlds and constantly use the same engine without actually that many improvements, all it takes is making new characters and a new story.

So many characters are being also re-used it's a miracle they are not called recycled characters.

Gust games are easy to play, have great stories, and likeable characters. Why wouldn't people buy them ?

as far as i can see none of the maps in atelier escha & logy are shared with the previous game, ayesha. from the way these games are themed, it probably has no common maps with shallie either.

enviroment details in these games are sparse though. most of the effort probably goes to the character models and mechanics between games only really get tweaked rather than completely overhauled.

Are you sure? Their wikipedia page doesn't list any PC games at all.

If they exist though, i'd be very interested...
