Avid watchers of shonen fighter series Fairy Tail have been expressing extreme levels of disappointment with the show’s latest broadcast, mostly due to the deviation from the manga when it comes to some much appreciatedly perverse prison scenes, which originally featured the incarcerated main characters in the nude.

Striping human nude is a very old psychological trick that often going with torture. Torturing dressed person is half effective than torturing him/her nude and pretty pointless. It's a basic logic.
If you want to get into logic then the real illogical problem here is that their captors undressed them only to go out of their way to give them something else to wear. What kind of bad guy would do that? "We're gonna torture you and degrade you but... keep you unclothed? Oh dear no, we're not THAT evil!"
So you're saying every movie, every documented torture, every US blacksite that had their victims clothed in whatever garmet during the torture is incorrect because of an 'old psychological trick'.

If they keep them clothed in a movie it might be because they don't want the censor board to give them a higher age rating. Torture is ok to see as long as there's no nudity!

Forced nudity during interogation is merely meant to pull someone out of their comfort zone as they are exposed.
When the objective is just to cause pain, you couldn'T care less about the victim's state of undress.

There are dozens of ways you can torture someone without going full nude. Electrocuting someones balls for example with a high voltage device, water boarding, suffocation, inflicting pain on the nerves, and various creative methods.
You want to electrocute someone's balls through their jeans? You are doing it wrong man.

The idea behind tourture is not to cause the most pain and try to kill them, but push the body to the limits of extreme discomfort all while keeping the subject conscious enough to still speak information when he/she finally breaks.

But you're assuming that anyone who wants to torture someone is always doing it because they want to gain information or something. Sometimes it just happens out of pure hatred. In fact you could argue that interrogation through torture is something someone would only do either due to ignorance of the fact that it isn't the best way to get information or they're just using it as a guise to punish a victim out of hatred and feelings of superiority.
They also made prisoners listen to certain music for extreme lengths of time. Force them listen to a high-pitched vocaloid singing a repetitive song for hours or watch a bad anime.

Fuck the Anime, its always been an abomination compared to the manga, and this is the last straw. Its a slap in the face to every single fan of anime, to every adult in the world, to every fan of Fairy Tale, and to humanity itself. Hopefully whoever made the decision to completely destroy the deep emotional context of this part of the story will have something horrible happen to them, they should be fired and thrown out in the streets, tarred and feathered or bukkake'd all over in front of their loved ones.

I actually find this change more tasteful, I mean its a shounen anime please think of the target audience.
Would like to add that its primarly all of your faults for sexualizing the human body. Breasts are for feeding and vaginas/penises are for creating life. the anus is for pooping and so on and so forth. I don't mind a bit of nudity because its human nature. but its hardly something to be upset about.
Yeah, let's not ever be sexually interested in each others bodies anymore so that human beings cease to have the desire to engage in sexual activity with each other and die out. Fact is, all human beings view other human beings in a sexual light. If any complaint can be made is that bodies of females vs males have been made more forbidden (women can't or wouldn't show their chests in public while men do so without any concern) in most cultures over most of human history, thus making the female chest far more tantalizing than it would be otherwise.
@07:55 - Also it's hypocritical to say in one post that the body isn't sexual and shouldn't be made sexual and then in another post say that younger male audiences shouldn't be subjected to the "totally nonsexual human form". After all, female breasts are "just for feeding" right? So what harm would it do to show them in an anime kids watch? How do you propose to counter this culture of "sexualizing the female body" when you make it seem so forbidden to view the beauty behind the cloth?
The main problem is that the main age demographics for Fairy tail (Not to be insulting) is around like 4-10 year olds. People think that this anime/manga is for teens and all but come on, teenagers don't watch this stuff. Remember when in the early episodes of Fairy Tail, there was a disclaimer where Natsu told the fans to sit as far away from the TV screen as possible. I mean come on, that's Dora the Explorer level s!@#, so the demographics are at play here
