In fairness, there's no reason for Erza to be nude, it's just fanservice for the sake of fanservice. The scene and the ones that follow prove this, she could be clothed and it would make no difference.
So someone downvoted me for saying that, okay. So what context does having someone nude for the sake of being nude serve? Anyone who follows this series would know that the author adds nudity often with absolutely no justifiable context.
It's justifiable for Erza, actually. She always wears an armor and her magic mainly revolves around her changing it to another stronger armor, so naturally her torturers will think that undressing her will add psychological trauma to her. Except they don't know that Fairy Tail is actually a nudist guild...
Problem is that Sankaku is filled with tits-drooling parent's basement perverts. They won't see reason, specially if it revolves around female fan-service.
I actually agree with that, I follow the manga and anime of this and Mashima does at times just put tits for the sake of tits in a fair few scenes. Many of his efforts don't have much context to them, its just look tits and really, the scene in general would move just the same if they were covered up too.

The idea is that they strayed from the direction of the manga for the sake of censorship, yet somehow they manage to have Lucy and co. pointlessly nude in almost every other portion of the show for literally no reason at all. Then suddenly "oh let's add clothes to the one part where clothes wasn't originally intended." Next thing you know they'll censor the scene where Natsu and the white haired girl are in a prison cell together. If they don't ceonsor that I'm calling all bullshit

Uh, you don't consider the fact that she's being tortured or imprisoned? Did you even see the manga pics? ALL the captured characters were made nude, even the guys. Nudity for the sake of nudity? This is a rare-noticed case where nudity can be seen as non-sexual in a manga and actually rather contextual. Honestly, the manga shouldn't even have done the convenient censoring with the hair, but what can you do if nipples are ignorantly considered to be inherently sexual? Can't even fricken feed a baby in public when it's hungry.
For some reason this doesn't bother me as much as the anime not having blood like the manga.

Striping human nude is a very old psychological trick that often going with torture. Torturing dressed person is half effective than torturing him/her nude and pretty pointless. It's a basic logic.

There are dozens of ways you can torture someone without going full nude. Electrocuting someones balls for example with a high voltage device, water boarding, suffocation, inflicting pain on the nerves, and various creative methods.

Nah torturing is so boring and unproductive. If one has to torture, water-boarding in the CIA style is easier and more effective. Or, simply apply bullet to the head for disposal.

The idea behind tourture is not to cause the most pain and try to kill them, but push the body to the limits of extreme discomfort all while keeping the subject conscious enough to still speak information when he/she finally breaks.
But you're assuming that anyone who wants to torture someone is always doing it because they want to gain information or something. Sometimes it just happens out of pure hatred. In fact you could argue that interrogation through torture is something someone would only do either due to ignorance of the fact that it isn't the best way to get information or they're just using it as a guise to punish a victim out of hatred and feelings of superiority.

If you want to get into logic then the real illogical problem here is that their captors undressed them only to go out of their way to give them something else to wear. What kind of bad guy would do that? "We're gonna torture you and degrade you but... keep you unclothed? Oh dear no, we're not THAT evil!"
So you're saying every movie, every documented torture, every US blacksite that had their victims clothed in whatever garmet during the torture is incorrect because of an 'old psychological trick'.
