It's basically "what would real life be like if it were more like an RPG video game" plus generic harem.
Really the premise doesn't matter. The recipe to a successful anime is simply to surround a mediocre MC with a bunch of girls that cover various archetypes like tsundere, kuudere, childhood friend, meganekko (glasses girl), airhead blonde, little/big sister type, etc., and every combination thereof and hope that one of the combinations of those archetypes ends up being a popular character. Azusa from K-ON, Charlotte/Laura from Infinite Stratos, and Sento from Amagi Brilliant Park are such examples.
This anime is popular because Hestia pulls off the "big breasted loli" archetype so well, because that's all that really matters.

It's great to have a generic male protagonist surrounded by a rather generic harem.
So far all I got out of this is pretty much the same scenarios that I have seen over the last 4-5 seasons with different anime, this series not really coming out with anything NEW, and leaving the story wide open for ambiguity to happen.
