The recent broadcast of Unlimited Blade Works has seen to another gruesome battle with the detestable Gilgamesh, in hopes that the show’s virtuous characters will finally be rid of the cruel individual once and for all, all of which is bringing about an array of vibrant and rather graphic visual effects as the show is known for.

These last few episodes have been kind of irritating how they're drawing out the fights between episodes. Perhaps it will be better once these episodes are sewn together... however being viewed individually, the action seems to be more teaser then actual fight scenes.
Shiro makes a sword. Cut! Saber encounters Assassin, Assassin pulls out sword. CUT! Rin shoots some magic at the sky. Cut! Back to Shiro now deflecting a sword flinging at him. But before we see him strike it or dodge it... Cut! Next let's get some dramatic moments.... Cut! Finally a moment when things start to happen when we're not jumping all over the place.... crap... I guess you'll have to wait till next episode... it's the credits already.
Yep, better direction would make the whole thing mega vs mediocre.
One of the biggest flaws that i'm seeing that have started to invade the series Internal dialogue.
The Shirou Vs. Archer fight was butchered because archer would NOT stop preaching instead of fighting.
Hell the VN was better because, even though it was nothing but text, there was ACTUAL COMBAT. Instead we got -
A few sword clashes

Oh shit. Gilgamesh actually activated try-hard mode for 2 seconds lol. That grail ain't something you fuck around with I guess lol.
I didn't think gil would pull ea especially after how pissed he got in zero at the notion of drawing it against caster.

Very well animated show. Its too bad most of the characters are pretty generic looking. Oh well more money for fights!
Who knows. They may be generic looking because they set the standard. This series is relatively old.
2004 in fact, around the time when many cult classics were released. FSN had a pretty big impact.
Are you fucking? Tsukihime is the first VN of Nasu, Notes is his first LN and KnK is his first LN that was published.
You fucking idiot? FSN release around in 2004 in a form of VN that is where the series got famouse .And it got an anime adaption that came out around in 2006.
So before spouting some random BS you better do some research first so you wont look like a complete idiot that pretending that he knows something even it didnt.
Too far. It's 2004, and that was already the original VN.
Actually 1995 is when the original came out (before the anime series it was a erotic visual novel.
I don't really understand what that means. What constitutes generic? Should all the girls have gigantic breasts and tight revealing cloths, and the guys yugioh level hairstyles so everyone stands out? Simplicity itself can be a very good thing if it's not overdone. If a character is designed to look how they should look and not solely based on what the audience wants to see I would call that I good thing.
Generic man, so you see lots of animes you understand and identified the generics, for example Shiro, Rin, Saber are very generics, Shiro the typical moral fag hero who try to save alls, Rin the princess tsundere who at the end need to be saved, and Saber the brave warrior female who inside is a melodramatic heroine who need a man.
Really for me of the 3 kings Iskandar be the best, and second Gilga, and Saber the worts.
Yeah, it's “Iskander” and not “Iskandar”. And anyone who has any idea of what's going on with Shirou will tell you that you know shit. The same about the other characters.
What's the next thing you say? That Shinji is just misunderstood and trying to be a hero? That Kotomine is a virgin? That people die when they are killed?
Wtf...do you even know this series at all. Those descriptions of those characters are completely wrong.
I have no interest in this show, but it doesn't matter if it's Iskander or Iskandar. Both are right. Or wrong. His name should be Ἀλέξανδρος.
Yeah, yeah, no interest in this show ... if you really had no interest in this you wouldn't care about it enough to say who is your favourite or least favourite or whatever character there. And the official spelling used in the show is “Iskander”, so it's not about playing right or wrong but simply another proof that you are merely looking to raise a stink.
Yu-Gi-Oh!
A show so terrible that it took a parody created by a guy in England before it became actually entertaining.
(It was fun for a while, but now the guy would rather live life than make meaningless episodes that he doesn't make a dime for. What a creep! --- actually he seems to bring out 1 a year...)
