Nah, I'm thinking why are they fucking this show up by breezing through the Light Novels at the pace they are assuming they won't get a second season. It's ridiculous that they could cover 6 out of 7 books in 13 episodes.
They probably won't get a second season. Think back to No Game No Life. Same situation.
I think they will. The author of No Game No Life has stalled, where as this author is actively releasing books every few months. No Game No Life also sold well so a second season would exist if they had material.
5 books out of 7. And the only one they breezed through was the 4th, since they made in it a single episode. Taking 3 episodes per novel is a bit rushed but not uncommon, probably 4 would have been a better choice (ending the season with the revenge fight against the minotaur), but it's not that bad.
Something like only doing 2 novels per season like Spice & Wolf or Monogatari Series is absolutely out of the ordinary.
If only this anime didn't have bland generic white-haired pretty boy fuckface, this show would've been perfect.
