A more grim perspective has been taken with this latest ranking, asking fans which anime they would most want to be watching on their last day on Earth, as a combination of heart-warming melancholy and comedy prove to be the most popular (and none too surprising) results.

As in "watch whole One Piece before I die".

No, she is something like 20 fujoshies crammed into a single body. You can call It the super fujoshi or the bionical fujoshi from outer space.
Well, that could be an anon who just bored some people or that could that be a real fan of Free! Guys or Girl by the way and he or she still have the right to like it.
After all, most of guys who watch anime with all female character likes it. Or at leats, a quite big part of those guys and there is girls too.

Finally, there are many choice each season so just deal with what you could like and ignore what you could dislike.

What kind of SanCom visitor are you? You should learn to not take anything said here seriously by now. This place is a hole within a void. A waste of a place to waste your wasted time...
My pick would probably be Cowboy Bebop, especially the few episodes from the latter parts of the series. The ones with a gripping Mono no Aware-feeling and bittersweet melancholy. Gag comedies would feel kinda banal and cryfests like Kanon would just make it even worse.
The episode where Faye seeks her past and finds a video of herself as a teen. Dang, those feelz...
Hell yeah to Cowboy Bebop, also watch Trigun, Wolf's Rain, and other classics for me.

How is that good? Key anime are just glorified soap operas with the most stereotypically "animu" looking character designs ever.
I'll be far more surprised when Clannad DOESN'T appear on a list that involves anything related to sadness. It's basically the easy way to say "I don't know what I'd vote for, so I'll go with the most popular sad anime instead".

Well, this list kind of makes sense. After watching a great anime you wouldn't exactly feel like wanting to die, so they picked shitty ones.
Good conclusion, it's a "after I watched this I may as well die already" list.
I think Haibane Henmei would be fitting for a last day alive.
Haibane Renmei?
Yeah, that one is kinda appropriate for it really.
If you want to know, its about a city in which normal people and the 'Haibane' live which has one exit through the wall surrounding it and none who live there can use it. (Merchants and what-have-you from outside can though)
The Haibane differ from normal people in how they are born (a cocoon appears, grows, then hatches them more or less grown to adolescence) and the fact that they have grey feathered wings and can wear halos.
There is quite a bit more to the story of what goes on, but its something you need to see for yourself. (I.E. very slippery slope into spoiler territory)

I think you misread "Haibane Renmei" as "Angel Beats".
I really need to watch Haibane Renmei again someday. It was one of my first anime I watched.
this list is stupid
db having 153 eps, if you can watch non-stop 3 eps per hour by skipping op/ed, it gives 51 hours
with almost 780 eps for conan, it'd give less than 260 hours
so how can you watch at least 51 hours of eps in one 24-hour day, i let you think about it ;p
