The Queen’s Blade franchise will continue to jiggle onwards in the form of a new OVA entitled “Queen’s Blade Grimoire” – based off the 4th book in the series, the OVA looks bound to provide an abundance of sultry oppai-laden service much like its previous iterations.
News of the OVA originally surfaced from an issue of Hobby Japan magazine:
The characters of Queen’s Blade Grimoire are all based on the heroines of famous fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Little Mermaid and Hansel and Gretel – the OVA will makes its debut sometime this fall.

I'm glad the series is still going, even if it doesn't make sense how they didn't finish up Rebellion. But I'm over-all liking this cast better than Rebellion's anyways. Zara is awesome but I hope Tina, Goldie, and Seiten show up too. Damn, if only this was a new season and not just OVA.

As long as it doesn't become the piece of garbage rape fetish extravaganza that Queen's Blade eventually turned itself into, I'm all into this one. But if everything becomes a rape thing then I'm staying so far away from this one you'd think it had the plague.
As a huge QB fan, I actually agree with you. What you're referring to are the Vanquished Queen spin off stories. That shit is horrible. Part of the reason these women are so hot and awesome, besides being based on various niche fetishes, is their strength and personalities that garner respect, but VQ was all about tearing that all down for a darker, "humiliation' fetish, or something. I don't know about anyone else but I don't get off on seeing characters I like getting pretty much shit on.

Yup, they confirmed Rin Sin was back to work on the series. She might not be able to equal the original artists of most of the characters (like Oda Non, F.S., and Hiraku Kaneko) but for adaptation to anime she did a great enough job.
This is quite promising for Queen's Blade to do fairy tail stuff.
Too bad they had to ruin it with putting Leina in there instead of one of their other characters.
TBF, Leina would make the most sense to bring back. If only she wasn't the only one. Maybe she isn't...
