The latest build of stealth-’em-out game Yandere Simulator has been discussed with the release of the developer’s latest update video, which has made the already disturbing title even darker as it is detailed how players can make a murder more resemble a suicide.
The rather moribund update video:
Yandere Simulator has no release date as of yet.

From what I've seen, the "yandere" in this game just seems like a red herring. You start off going "oh, so it's a game about yandere, funny!" but a few minutes later it's more like "cool psychopathic murder simulator...".
Which is what a yandere is. The "cool" part is a give or take, depends on the character.
I dno, when I think of Yandere I think more of "I'll feed you my hair and shit until you love me!" but the only method of showing your love for senpai in this seems to be killing for him then trying not to get caught... which would be the same as a Zodiac Killer simulator.
You're confusing with tsundere. Yandere is where the girl is so super-jealous, she kills any girl who looks at her guy for more than 2 seconds.
@09:32 - No, tsundere is nothing like that. Tsundere is when a person loves someone but doesn't want to admit it, which results in things like "wha.. what makes you think I want to go shopping with you, ba... baka!?". Yandere is just when someone loves someone to an insane, psychotic extent... which results in strange tactics to show/display that love, extreme jealously, and criminal activity.
@21:56 Learn to read.
Not to be that guy, but the voice acting is really bad. I wish they had just left that out of the game and used subtitles instead.
Blame Canada, the U.S. rarely does voice acting, most of the voice acting from anime is done in Canada, not the U.S. Why I only watch in Japanese.
That's to duck U.S. acting union rules. As usual the focus is on cutting costs, not delivering the best product to market.
Actually most anime voice acting is done in the United States. Funimation in Texas, ADV Films(now Section 23/Sentai) in Texas, Aniplex and other companies often use New York/LA talent for their dubs.
cuz derp faking murrican too lazy to read the sub.
It even says "(Placeholder voices)" in the video.
So you're at best that guy who didn't read the annotation.
The Developer has stated that the voices are basicly placeholders for the moment.
Learn to read... the voices are placeholders, it says it right in the video. Even if the voices do end yup horrible do you know what games always have? Audio options. So instead of taking out features other people may like how about you just turn down the vocals instead of bitching.
how hurt is your butt
Not as much as yours.
From what I understand this is not a product of a major company. This is one guy or a small group of people working on this game. >_> Voice acting in the alpha stage of game development is probably way down the list of concerns.
It's not different from professional voice acting in the USA.
Well, voice acting in the USA, save for very few exceptions, is really bad. XD
i would guess the current voice acting is just a placeholder.
it does say that in the annotations
what exceptions? You make exceptions?
Any DUB from U.S. companies have been terrible in the last 10 years. Animax Asia is the only one I'd say even remotely has a possibility, but even that is a slim likelihood to find.
what shitty games have you been playing?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
yea it's pretty much crap voice acting.
Placeholder voices, retard
Notice me s-S-senpai!
Damm we need more games like this. And more animes (specially to see die the useless betas ritos)
I don't like the guy either, but it's astounding how someone has to mention how much they hate him or male MCs in general under every article, even unrelated ones, on this site...
the hate is because their bitter people who don't want any male even fake ones happy or getting any girls given they are poor losers that generally live at home and cant get any.
Nice,i hope to see more western developed anime games in the future.
yandere cell
senpai notice me senpai
Who are you and why do you have a knife?
What does this say about Japan that it took a gaijin to do a yandere simulator?
Only tiny dicked nippons care about the gaijin term.
So, at a glance, after reading the description, I thought to myself, "Hey, I really like stealth games. I particularly liked Shinobido. A stealth game with a bunch of cute girls in it? Where do I sign up? Too bad there are going to be a bunch of hypocrites criticizing it for all the wrong reasons".
Clearly, I had no idea what I was getting into. I think I cried a bit when that girl hit the pavement.
I'm still going to want to play it. I'll just set up an all-Urobuchi playlist in advance, to cheer me up a bit after I'm done playing.
Can she wear a nevada sweatshirt?
Cool. You can do much more with this version compare to the previous one I tested.
DON'T PRESS "L".... OMG
I wasn't really convinced, until I saw the fence go up.
If the school and it's inhabitants change depending on the player's actions, this might actually be pretty cool.
"She's late..."
Ha
So does the guy developing this have a plan for it? Bug fixes aside, there's not much of anything to do in the game if you're not planning to kill random students and burn their bodies. I wonder when this game will stop just being a sandbox and get some direction?
This game has potential, give it some time.
The potential to be sht.
Just like you!
And the game is basically about killing your love rivals.
When it's out of alpha
Any idea how long Alpha will be? The game has a lot of potential, don't get me wrong. Just the school is pretty empty with nothing to do, not even scripted events. The other building is devoid of all purpose.
he says its still at 5% but i guess we will keep going by new content slowly until he actually adds the rival system which is the whole point of the game where every week you need kill a certain new girl
Don't kill the one you like, spend your life (and maybe eternity) with him/her by conquering.
...and then tie him up and put him in your basement.
