There is no more substance to this series than the original. Just moe. Yuki is cute and moe as we all think, but in the end this series solely depends on it in that it's shameful.
From what I've seen from the screenshots of this series, it actually draws Mikuru's and Haruhi's breasts quite nicely. Are there moments where they're animated nicely as well?

So, I take it, they won't actually get to the major "Disappearance" arc from volumes 4 and 5 of the manga until the final few episodes?
That's more or less what I expected going in, but, if it ends with the arc, that means we will continue to be deprived of Sasaki ever being animated in any Haruhi-related continuity unless Satelight does a season 2.
I think you're right. They'll leave it half finished and then say that DVD/BD sales weren't good enough to justify producing a second season.
Unlikely. As long as it doesn't sell below 3k a volume it'll get more episodes. Amagi Brilliant Park was averaging over 5k first week and is getting more episodes.

K-On is better than Haruhi franchise
K-On! is just a bunch of moe blobs sitting around doing nothing and eating cake, with the occasional concert that lasts like 2-3 minutes.
Stopped watching after the second episode...
1. Art looks weird. I know it's different, but it still looks weird.
2. Animation is subpar.
3. Voice acting is subpar in comparison to the parent story... But keep in mind the script sucks on this one so it's not the seiyu's fault.
4. Story line is a big W T F??? And not in the good WTF? way that the parent story sported.
5. Nagato comes across as mentally handicapped at times, not moe.
