And STILL no news of it ever being released outside of japan... Even though they showed it to us years ago at E3 and said it was "coming soon".

Sega is dead outside of Japan, the sooner you release that the easily their shitty decisions will be to take.

Wait, anyone still gives one flying crap about Phantasy Star Online 2? I'm honestly surprised about that fact.

It's one of Sega's profitable franchise, along with Chain Chronicle and PuyoPuyo online.

Console wise, they are betting on Perona 5, while handheld is Persona 4 Dancing, and other rthym game.

Fucking westerners assume SEA server is dying. You don't even play there. You don't have a clue.

Don't mind them. They're just little children crying because they don't get to play.

SEA is too watered down. I gave it my six months.
The content disparity is too bad, and their events are too tangent from what I wanted from the game.

I went back to the JP servers and never looked back on SEA.

The main draw for me was the cosplayability with the anime tie-ins, having an over arching plotline was cherry on top.

To those like me who experienced the original JP treatment before SEA got to launch, the watered down benefits was just hard to swallow. (not impossible, just hard.)

Having an entirely different roadmap is what killed it for me.

I have nothing against players who only get to experience PSO2 through the SEA server, and I wish them well.

But for others like me, who know of the game prior, it felt like SEA server treatment was a stab in the gut. Much worse than SEGA not saying anything about an NA release.

I had to give up on this game coming to the states, I tried doing the patcher thing for a bit but i kept on having to fight with it to get it to work properly so I finally said "enough is enough" I just kind of wish sega would finally come out and put it to bed by saying "There will be no NA release"

    Time to Preach.

Play JP version. Just use the english patcher(Tweaker) and play on server 2 (ship 2) and you'll have a majority of english speaking players. Speak english and expect most people nearby to understand. Don't bother with SEA, it's dying and behind in content and IP blocked because SEA version is trash. Once you play JP you will realize releasing it outside of JP just won't work.

Find a tutorial on how to sign up. Just translate the sign up page and have a list of hiragana you copy and paste for the captcha and do it quick enough. Also, capitals. They also don't use hotmail. Hardest part finished! Congratulations!

After that it's smooth sailing. High profile voice actors from anime http://pso2.cirnopedia.info/tickets_7.php Anime cross-overs from all sorts of anime. They also have concerts from Quna who is Mine from Akame Ga Kill.

As the game stands, there really isn't much of a Pay2Win aspect except for outfits and little trinkets and stuff for cosmetics which you could easily buy from players' shops with ingame money which is easily obtainable. This isn't AA where some rich dude drops $4,000 and gets insta leveled to max with thousands of gold and easily obtained high end gear. This isn't Perfect World where some guy buys heiros and other crap to steamroll you. There isn't PvP. It's the first true anime themed MMO I have ever laid my eyes on and suhprize suhpreyez, it's from JP.

no gtfo, pso2jp doesn't need more retarded gaijins acting like faggots in lobby treating the game like it's a fucking chatroom, wondering why MPAs suck - it's because they run around wearing garbage for equipment, have bad lag because their internet sucks, and because jp blacklist them for their terrible equips and acting like idiots.

go play an english game and speak spanish or japanese or whatever and talk in shout or anywhere alot of people can see you for a while and see how long it takes for people to start complaining that you should speak "english or stfu" or how long before the admins tell you to stop it, then stop and think for a second how most jp feel about you publicly speaking english on their servers and why they mostly avoid you.

TL:DR forget about pso2jp, go play maplestory

sounds like most of ship 2 is western and many still playing since beta and Sega wants the cashflow.

sounds like you don't even play or was a b20 bitter troll. OH SHT. Burnt.

LOL cashflow my ass. Most of you outsiders are freemium or rarely pay for the game. Not to mention you only compose of less than 1% of the server's population. SEGA doesn't need you and they have banned players in the past and they still do today. All it takes is a single report. Heck I'm inclined to send SEGA your precious lil tweaker and we'll see if you can still play in their server.

That's why Japanese players avoid Ship 2 like its the plague. Its a ship filled with freeloading barbarian squatters.

There is nothing illegal about playing on foreign servers. I highly doubt I could go to jail for it or be charged for a crime.

Honestly I don't know what you're talking about. There are no serious bugs with PSO2 SEA. Any minor bugs have been fixed by SEGA. Don't assume if one of Asiasoft's games is buggy all of them are. Different developers handle their games differently.

If it was dead it wouldn't continue to get updates you piece of shit. Whether you accept it or not you're just fucking jealous that SEA is the only English server and you pussies never got it. All you do is mooch off JP server as if you own it. Its only a matter of time before Sega blocks you or bans your accounts for illegally playing in their server.
