The intense instrumental blowing of Hibike Euphonium has resumed once more as the show’s cute band members aid the novice Hazuki in building her tuba skills before the advent of the next great event, bringing an abundance of its usual assortment of moe and comedy – with most being generated by the lovely Asuka, whose popularity has been steadily elevating closer to that of season favourite Hestia’s.

Are you sure everything1's okay with you?
This series is hardly really moe, and Asuka is only really popular among western fans.
"and Asuka is only really popular among western fans."
SEARCH in Pixiv for conclusion
I did.
Kumiko has more hits. And having 120 dedicated picture (involving scribbles) is really nothing even close to "fan favorite".
Asuka is still the best girl, 6 episode in a row. Reina can still catch up.
Yeah, no matter what anybody says about this anime, it's still good. Not only is it entertaining, but they're teaching you a little bit of music's culture. I hope music enthusiasts can relate to this anime. They did a lot of research before making this anime.
So what if it's just music with girls? You want it to be music with guys or something?
It's better that it's KyoAni making this anime because why the fuck not?
As someone who actually played euphonium in high school band, this anime is very accurate and entertaining. It really makes me miss playing. I've been enjoying the story but I'd say I'm mostly enjoying the music side of things.
KyoAni did a great job.
I agree, it's not a masterpiece but it's well above average... People just don't remember how bad the actually "bad" anime are. And all KyoAni work always have too high expectations.
Plus it's been getting better, the beginning was pretty slow.
As someone who used to play the Trumpt, seeing all that dirt build up on the tuba slots made me gag.
It's not necessarily dirt. The brass fittings tend to stain on the inside where it's not lacquered. My tuba looks like that too, and it's very clean, if a bit unused these days, sigh.
This show makes me want to pull out my old tuba and play a bit, but true to the show, it's sort of a boring instrument to play by itself.
Also, I was a little sad to see they didn't have any sousaphones (essentially a marching tuba) for the parade. I guess a concert band that didn't march a lot might not have them.
Asuka is like the senpai I wish I had, but never got.
Omake 9, animation fail! Look on Asuka's left hand on Midori's head, it looks like a right hand.
Anyone wanna 'shop Omake-3 to make it look like Asuka's giving handjobs?
I was sure there'd be one after I saw the headline images...now I'm disappointed.
An Asuka-filled episode? Best episode so far.
Can't beat her, join her...
asuka is best
also the series is nice but i really hate how out of no where they wanna bring some romance in the series between the one guy and the tuba girl......
but like always asuka makes everything better and the hint of yuri between the mc girl and the one girl was win so over all great ep - the one part
That's Hazuki for you, every character she encounter she appreciate them like Asuka is pretty, Taki sensei is hot etc.
Because of Asuka, Kumiko and Reina, this anime is might be highly susceptible to yuri doujins.
so far the little blond girl is like the Nagisa of this anime and I like that
You were born to blow me.
- every guy to every girl
I see that every guy in your life must have no dignity, also no standard, because it would imply you also say those to fat girls and grannies.
Good point.
I see the K-ON clones are still going strong.
Kumiko acts like Yui, Midori inherit Mugi's eyebrow and blondiness, Reina inherit Mio's laid back and serious personality, Asuka is more like Sawa-chan
Bullshit.
Kumiko is cynical and gloomy, and at times bitchy even, also obsessed with wanting to become bigger (though she's already taller than an average adult) and shames small breasts (involving hers).
And the show is nothing like K-On. It's serious and dark, no fun allowed and no good SoL scenes.
Altogether it's not aimed at otaku at the least, just a casual filler series without any soul being put into it.
It really feels how they don't care about the project, they're probably preparing for their next cash cow.
Finally, someone else who agrees this is a shit show. For some reason everyone is sucking this show's dick even though it's boring as fuck and doesn't do anything or go anywhere. My money is on this having a non-ending just like Tamako Market.
Just like K-On!'s Sakuragaoka High School, the color of Hibike! Euphonium's Kitauji High School ribbon (red, blue green) on their school uniform indicates their batch, not their school year.
Asuka, please blow me!
