World-renowned fighting series Dragon Ball Z is receiving a brand new TV anime in the form of “Dragon Ball Super“, with long-time fans of the highly popular series being taken aback by its rather abrupt emergence, even if still probably overjoyed nonetheless.
Dragon Ball Super will be the first entry into the venerable series in over 18 years, and will feature an original story written by none other than the creator of the Dragon Ball manga himself, Akira Toriyama.
The new iteration is part of the remastered Dragon Ball Kai series that is currently airing on TV and is planned to take place after the events of the Majin Buu arc, which fans will likely esteem due to th apparente decision to disregard Dragon Ball GT’s existence in its entirety.
Dragon Ball Super will make its arrival in July.
About damn time
I used to think DBZ was the best tv show ever, it was unsurprisingly the only anime I watched beside some Gundam Wing and Samurai X ( Toonami stuff) anyway I genuinely think this is some shitty kids anime now.
It has some enjoyable fight scenes sometimes but after the Saiyin arc, it was literally who had the higher power level, skill played zero part in fight sequences thereafter. It was always about becoming stronger rather than fighting smarter.
Little Character development , no romance, robots able to stand up to the Z team?( meta materials would probably have time lasting against an attack from any current fighter) , the characters are unbelievably overpowered yet stronger enemies appear throughout.
Wait… People actually take that DBZ “entire episode charging spirit bomb” joke to heart? You’ve got to know how far to take a joke guys…
Hope its actually good and not just ‘good’ because of our nostalgia. Kai is apparently all right. Will have to wait and see.
