    I actually think this is the best approach. The current "arc" has seven story titles left. 5+6, 9+10, and 11+12 all go together. 7 is fairly stand alone so they could flood a season with filler or boil it down as best they could and combine it with 6 or 9. I think that they will go into Diodora arc after defeating Loki. They will then do Akeno and her father. I think that TNK thinks(and I agree) that the most interesting thing in these 3 LNs is the Sitri fight so that is where they will finish the season.

    Even if that is true, long time fans of the LN will likely complain due to the way TNK rushed it by skipping several events and heading straight to fight scenes. DXD's anime is known for being steadily paced and not rushed compared to some other anime adapted from LNs. It takes its time to give detail on vol of the LN thats being adapted. Take that away and you take away one of the things that made the 1st 2 seasons a success.

    I have not seen many complaints. Only one I can think of is limiting team Vali role in the Loki fight. While some comments I have seen were upset most were accepting of this development as it seemed to increase the prospect of us getting 2 more seasons.

    Surprisingly most people I know were happy to skip a few scenes of Issei(training, eating rice balls, and learning etiquette) in the mountains for actually seeing Sairaorg talk with Issei. The rest of the season will tell though. Most of the scenes skipped can still be added later.

    @2:42 That is fair. And I am not saying their are no complaints. Mostly that the only complaint I have seen, repeatedly, is "why is Vali not helping fight Loki?" This has major plot and other issues(although I think that the people making the statement are NaruSasu towards Issei and Vali/Sairoarg). I actually think TNK bought a lot of goodwill amongst the fans showing Sairaorg during training rather than having Tanin mention someone is watching.
    Which kind of agrees and disagrees with your statement. Right now the order can be mucked with as long as the important places and people are there.

    @4:27 the rest of the season is likely the main reason why there aren't much complaints. Many,including myself, dont mind about skipping minor and unimportant stuff. what the complaints are really about is the changes that deviate from the LNs. TNK adding scenes that weren't in the LN may be fine to the anime's fans but for some who have followed the LN from the start will react differently. Yes many fans will see it like a VN with a different route but others will be confused with the chronological events that take place. issei dying in the fight against loki for example.

    I'm with the other guy tho they really can't keep this up because the main character continues to be utterly incompetent. You can only have an idiot screw up so much before its no longer an anime and just becomes fan service and I am being extremely leiant by saying this series ever had a plot.

    That is a little conservative. I would be surprised if this stops before season 5. Whether this gets a season 6 or not is up for debate.

    It's basically a mobile game but through your browser, but from what I've seen so far it's relatively generous in terms of getting "crystals" (the pay for items).

    That said, it also seems like it'll take a bit of grinding due to how leveling your "towers" works.

    You get two of the CGs within the first like 10 minutes of the game as part of the tutorials though.
