Having just watched this series, I am amazed this anime never hit my radar last year. It has a cliche harem cast, which it directly addresses in the plot, both making fun of itself and using it to narrow the focus of the story. It has one of my new favorite males protagonists, who doesn't take really take the main role, but acts as the catalyst to bring out the story behind each of the girls. What fucked up stories they are. This anime rose from nowhere to sit on my top 10 animes of 2014 list. The anime has a bit of ecchi, but it does not abuse it, if anything it uses it in the plot to good effect. The final arc story shown above was a great conclusion to what I hope will just be a season 1. Although with my luck, it will get canned. The blu-ray ecchi is hilarious, especially the bath scene.
If you liked the show, you should definitely play the visual novel. It was amazing.
So sad they haven't finished the translation on the 2nd visual novel. I read through part of it, since I can easily understand the voiced lines, but it would take a bit of time to learn enough kanji to read the rest.
That's coming soon, Sekai Project is working on translating the whole trilogy. You got to wait a bit though, they are currently working on retranslating the first game.
season 2 is out now. check it out. it's good.
