Indie game distributor Playism has announced that the legendary bullet-hell franchise Touhou will finally be making its official debut in the west, allowing long-time western enthusiasts the ability to play without being hindered by the bothersome language barrier – though many may be curious as to what took so long.
The title to be translated and released will be Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character, likely due to the plot being largely unrelated to the franchise’s overall story, thus making it a prime candidate for a fresh start.

Whether or not Touhou’s other enthralling games will receive English releases is not known, but any new information will come by way of Playism’s official site.

Can’t think of any particular reasons it should, off the top of my head. The translator teams will probably be interested in seeing/arguing over how the localisation teams decide to translate things tho.
