Just watched its first episode. Seems to be a worthy series. :)
Moooooore of the same old drama anime. Everyone always complains about repetition and originality in anime yet clamor over the same old cookie cutter dramafest anime.
Meh. Don't downvote me...but meh.
Best of the season so far.
Highly emotional anime, the part of the farewell nina (very heavy).
Isla probably has its days numbered also ..
Too bad maybe even our grandchildren will not see androids as advanced as those ..
The story probably has its roots in bladerunner and their androids with short life ... (anime is an Moe version lol?!)
12:31 otaku running away with the plastic girlfriend ..
So it's safe to say that a ton of feels are imminent in this one.
From the amount of feels in this one episode, I'd say yeah. There's some of those sad but feel good feels with the first retrieval, but then the Nina one is pretty straight sad. Why are Nina's doomed to sadness in Japan? =\
I sense a potential plot-twist. Giftias do not really break mentally after their service life. The manufacturer retrieves them either to sell new ones or to recover some very expensive part. So Giftias could actually operate longer, but are terminated prematurely for profit. This might allow for a happy ending with Tsukasa x Isla.
I'm thinking the same, but a bit more in the Psycho-Pass direction. I'm thinking that they take the memories of the Giftia and are using them to build some database on the population to try and control them. When you take the memories of an android that has spent almost 10 years in a family, you get a LOT of data on that family.
Am I the only one that noticed that the ledge jump came from the cat jump that went viral

Disgusting useless pricks killed this show.
You shouldn't exist then. you are one of the useless pricks.
Looked the plot up because this article is SO informative. The premise reminds me of Time of Eve.
"Blade Runner for no reason" should be the title of this show. Why are they so insitant on collecting androids and why do they chase dow people who refuse their service? Japanese don't really like to think their premise through, but this doesn't look like a harem show, so what gives?
wait, it's a harem show, isn't it? God dammit.
I'm not going to lie. I nearly cried at the end, and I generally scoff at cliched tearjerkers but something about this one got me.
