Video footage of the previously announced “Live Spectacle Naruto” has recently surfaced, giving viewers some insight as to how a Naruto-centric stage play would actually pan out given the show’s (or anime in general) tendency to utilize some rather complicated concepts.
Western watchers have unsurprisingly shown mixed reactions, complaining of the idiosyncratic implementation of a trampoline, while the fight scenes have been described as just a whole lot of bouncing about and acrobatic feats rather than actual fighting (Cirque du Soleil fans apparently not overlapping much with those of Naruto).
The video footage:
Whatever its merits as a play, at least few seem likely to criticize its spectacular costumes…

Me 10 years ago - loves Naruto and everything related to it more than anything else in the world
Me today - What, Naruto? Blarrghh, it makes me puke.
Akamaru is a fucking plushie...
Because it's a play, I understand the cheesy factor of the jumping and the loose choreography as silly as it looked, it's still a play so it's understandable, but hot damn, that wardrobe department! Holyshit every character was spot on, now granted it's on a stage, in dim lighting, it probably isn't 100% up close, but shit man thats some of the best cosplay ever when it comes to these characters, For example dat smexy little Ino running around.
stick to anime japan.. stick to anime..
This is really cool. I like the Akamaru plush, very kawaii.
Dont know who destroyed more the myth of the ninjas:

oookeeeyyyy, now let's wait for bleach's version.
They already had one ages ago, though it's a musical. Ditto for Prince of Tennis.

the acting isn't bad at all. the fights are silly and lol worthy but that is why i want to see it :D
i thought this was going to be a movie?
They never said it was.
To be honest it doesn't seem that terrible, i mean, what were people expecting for what is essentially a live action adaptation without CGI?
Sadly i dont speak japanese so i can't speak for the plays content itself, but all things considered i have seen worse from people with larger budgets :P
they should actually include CGI, considering how well that worked for Hatsune Miku...
where was the multi sexy no jutsu!?
What did people think a stage play is?
Complaining idiots...
Apparently they wanted Spiderman all over again, but with ninjas
AHAHAHAHAHAH Naruto, dat shit !
Burn in hell, damn lemon faces!
Jeez man, if your jealous just say so. God, what is your problem.
Looks like shit indeed.
