The latest PV for Ghost in the Shell‘s upcoming movie has chronicled all of the franchise’s past films and shows in hopes of getting fans excited by injecting them with a hefty dose of nostalgia – despite confirmation that Motoko’s design will remain unaltered from her ill-received Arise form.

Love Arise and all the other Mokotos so far.
Also don't hate on the nerd community or what have you, it is proven there are quite a bit of trolls on here, who knows nothing about anime/manga.

The storytelling in Arise is on point. Would watch even if Makoto looked like shit, which she DIDN'T

If you can still remember every lead's name, then maybe you have not watched enough titles. More then a few Mokoto/Makoto around.
Because Sankaku doesn't give a shit about plot, only about the appearence of female characters.

Like the manga Motoko, like the colored/coloured Mokoto, like ver1.0 Mokoto before headshot, like ver2.0+ Mokoto, like the original Motoko, like the new Motoko, like the gamesoft Mototo.
So long as no half-assed live-action is being planned, am happy with every version of Motoko.

It sounds so awesome, but I couldn't find it when I skimmed through the Ghost in the Shell Soundtracks..
probably because Masamune Shirow had minimal involvement in this like the terribly reboot Appleseed.
Imho, Arise and rebooted Appleseeds were decent.
That said, can't stand either the new opening or ending song for Arise. It was really bad, and can't be bothered to listen to it again to find out was it the op or the ed.
