The first preview of much anticipated Haruhi spin-off “The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan” has arrived in the form of a brief CM, allowing ecstatic Haruhists ample time to dissect its content in order to decide whether the series will live up to the original.
The CM, which seems to place the show on similar ground to the earlier lighthearted and strictly comical Haruhi-chan spin-off series:

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan will begin its run on April 3rd – though any hint of life in the main franchise which spawns has so far been elusive.

My expectations aren't too high, but I'll watch it for any scenes with Tsuruya.
I know, the manga was quite good, but this adaptation maybe won't.
I can't wait was not to happy with the new look of all the characters but just hope it's good
The anime character designs resemble that used in the manga. I own all the volumes out thus far. They are somewhat loyal to Puyos art style in the manga and have improved where needed.
If it's anything like the manga with the same title, then it won't be good.
They changed Yuki's personality a lot from the movie/light novel.
Her personality is pretty much a combination of her movie personality and her Haruhi-chan personality. I think it works just fine.
What the hell did they do to Kyon's hair!? Now he looks like another damn generic harem MC.
They copied the style used in the manga.
they do it with everything recently. they take it and turn it into lame generic bullshit.
As a big Haruhi fan, I was already disappointed when they made the art style too similar to K-On in the second season.
But since it was still made by KyoAni, and Aya still voice Haruhi, I accepted it.
If Aya is not voicing Haruhi anymore though

Aya is confirmed to come back to sing the opening theme. No clue why they wouldn't have her voice the role. It's not with KyoAni this time, so The issues with them and Aya shouldn't matter. I don't care if she slept with her band mates. Aya is the only haruhi. Wendee Lee was awesome too.
They better not fuck up my favorite anime series of all time. :/

I predict this show will have the same effect for Haruhi as Manglobe did when they took over Hayate the Combat Butler. Too much difference will drive fans away or they'll just skip it.

Just to troll the fans large chunks of the series will be patched together with clips from the original, and they will say it's different because it's "from Nagato's perspective".
Teen Titans Go did that with its own movie to troll fans, and it was fucking epic, so I dunno...
