Wouldn't say sexist, but probably indirectly related to how much of a pressure there is nowadays not to show naked females lest you offend some insidiously annoying vocal minority.
To go full-homo like what they're doing with this anime has less repercussion, which is sad because it could have been an anime I'd watch if it wasn't naked dudes all the time.
