Fuck the lists and ordering. This is the best season, and probably the best year for anime in a long time, at least for me. Triage X, Arslan (that picture for it here doesn't represent it very well), Prison School, Food Wars, Digimon, and Highschool DxD S3, and it's only March!

The "serious" anime fans who shun anything remotely ecchi are the majority. Moe anime tends to push through, though... either because cute-pandering is more acceptable than sex-pandering or because its fans are just that powerful in their fandom.

I don't understand most of the negative comments I see about HotD. Love it or hate it, it was a definite hit. The manga and anime both did well enough over here to warrant color releases of the manga and a blu ray collectors edition released just recently. And it did well with both male and female viewers, based on all the fans of it that I know of at least. On top of that, the Triage X manga seemed to take off well enough in the west, which I think is in part thanks to HotD. Maybe it's just that it was a bigger success in the west than in Japan?

I see they didn't waste any time thinking of a title for that one.
Spring is looking to be one of the better seasons in a while. I haven't seen so many shows I'm interested in since Winter of last year. However, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan should be much higher than 9th.
