I don't dislike SAO per se, but every single arc is just the old Damsel In Distress cliche and that makes it loose tons of points.
Aincrad : Saving minor girls then saving main heroine
Alfheim : Save imouto, save main heroine AGAIN
GGO : Save new heroine, also mentally
Rosario : Main heroine saves new heroine mentally. New heroine dies for the sake of drama.

First arc : Kirito saves Asuna from isolation and suicidal tendencies. Kirito saves Asuna's ass in every boss fight animated. Kirito regrets not saving randomgirl from his guild. Kirito saves Silica. Kirito saves Lisbeth. Kirito continues saving Asuna from bosses, then from PK guild stalker. Kirito saves all SAO players while saving Asuna from Kayaba. FIN.

No, it's not. The whole first episode of that basically consists only of a half assed blowjob.
Be fair, the episodes are only 10 minutes long. And the fantasy sequence at the end of the episode is as hot as fuck, even if they do rehash it again at the start of the 2nd.
