The cute kemonomimi combat anime Dog Days has temporarily withdrawn its oodles of service to reveal the origin story of the lovely blonde Adelaide and the kingdom of Pastillage – though still managing to sneak in an occasional glimpse of skin now and again.

Pick an answer:
1. You kind of get the feeling everyone's too busy working or [play] fighting too much to make babies.
2. The story writers haven't thought that deeply about the setting.
3. Most of the population are kemonomimi or kami of one kind or another with mating/reproduction cycles or tendencies that keep the birth/death ratio at a rate that doesn't outstrip any given population's ability to provide for itself from the environment it exists in.
4. Flonyardian males exist between the extremes of the hero & Valerie: Fainting, running away, or otherwise falling to pieces at the sight of something sexually stimulating (the hero) or always trying to look, but not touch (Valerie) -- and never actually getting any in either case!

urgh so fuckin boring this season, it never was anything special but somehow the series managed to have me watching and enjoy it. This season and ep finally made me stop.
