Normally, I'd say don't buy it. But if you're actually playing the game online, the game force updates to the next version and rams all the DLC characters into your game if you're offline.
Nothing like fighting NyoTengu, Marie and Raidou back to back when you haven't bought them.
And I thought that Capcom was good at milking the franchise called Street Fighter. I guess DOA 5 beats Street Fighter. As they say "Why kill the cow when it keeps making milk for you"...
Have you seen the 90+ dollar DLC costume packs on the PSN/XBL store? ALONG with each of the same DLC listed individually? The audacity of Tecmo to charge that much for some damned costumes, even when you can buy them separately. No DLC price should be over 19.99. They're just being thirsty now.
That is absurd. I have paid around 90-100 bucks for limited and special editions of AAA games that include the full game AND exclusive or early access DLC plus collectors items.
Maybe after scooping up all the funds. We get DOAXtreme Beach Volleyball 3 for Summer 2016? Marie Rose in the Fortune Swimsuit.
It will continue this way as long as people are willing to pay for it.
That's a free market economy for you. The DLC is worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. When it can't sell at $90, the price will come down.

That kind of options were present already on earlier games, but a little bit hiden (In DOAU the higher your age in your profile, the bouncier the boobs in game).
