As NewType’s March issue makes it arrival, so too does its monthly revised character rankings – with the staggering popularity of Sword Art Online seeming to dwindle as the top spots are seized by the capable characters of Psycho-Pass, in part thanks to the recently premiered movie.
The male ranking:

I could never understand why Nyantype/Megami won't do fanservice(As in major cleavage) posters for Asuna and Leafa. They're quite happy to draw most fanservice shows with said character nude with lots of boobage but with Sword Art Online they're more conservative. Did the author step in and say no?
The author? The guy who wrote 16.5? Uh, no...he's not likely to get in the way of fanservice.
They are pretty bland looking though so there's nothing much lost.
Sure they could have made them more explicit, but really it's better if they just focus on more appealing girls.

Things that are sexy should be sexy. Something that's not sexy should just not be seen as sexy period. That's just warped. Being sexually attracted to someone that isn't sexual is like having your signals crossed. Like the wind is cold but it's making you feel hot. You might as well have a fetish for pictures of inanimate objects. Well actually, I could say I don't agree with you or your downvoters because we're talking about characters who look too young and shouldn't be seen as sexy whither they're sexualized or not.
Characters in their late teens are OK to be sexualized. Right? Also, someone being sexy or not is opinion based, and thus different for everyone. Last thing, the wind can be "cold" and feel hot/warm for you. Feeling of coldness or hotness all depends on your temperature the temperature of the wind you feel. You could be EXTREMELY cold and feel just a cold win, it'd be very warm.

Most teens who watch anime only watch one or two a season, and they're almost always the popular/mainstream ones for that reason. Shouldn't be a surprise that's what they'd vote for, if they don't really know anything else.

Damn, the taste in anime characters just gets more and more boring over the years... especially when it comes to the females. Or maybe it's just that the shows in general are getting more dull, in all categories, even the best of the lot. I'm tired of almost all of them being about these kids... or teens, whatever.
Nope. Compare this to earlier lists which were dominated by Eva, Geass, and Haruhi, and you see that this is just about right. Asking teens for a list of "top" characters will just get you the most popular ones. They're barely old enough to start forming opinions of their own, after all.
