A teaser video has been revealed for the upcoming English release of the 3rd Puella Magi Madoka Magica movie – “Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Rebellion” – and as usual with English dubs it looks to be garnering both blind acclaim and vitriol in unequal amounts.

BD and DVD releases will be available on April 7th for those residing in North America.

Already own the limited edition import with subs. Why would I bother with this for the horrible dub quality.

I bet you the cake song is gonna sound horrible dubbed.
why is it that most of the dubs sound like shit, sure the quality of the VA is there but western voices don`t have the range and pitch of the japanese. For instance you have a teenage female char, in japanese she sounds cute and adorable, but with a western voice, she just sounds like a whiny bitch.
Subs only for me, don`t buy anything unless it has original language with english subs.
It isn't limited to just Japanese anime with English dubs.
It's the same likewise vicea versa with English Movies/shows with Japanese dubs and even other countries movies and shows.
The problem is that they capture the spirit of people the show/movie etc is made in and it's extremely hard with a person dubbing with a different culture and values to voice it successfully unfortunately.
Probably because in the past, men in Japan preferred cute girls, while western men preferred bitches.
That's why today girls in Japan sound cute and girls in America sound like bitches.
I blame Evolution.
I think we can all agree it was a terrible film.
Maybe because their insecure, tiny dicks can't handle tough women.
First thought as i saw this post " Ew"
When i actually watched the trailer, "Nope, still shit"
Voices don't fight the characters at all.
That and Mami and Homura sound exactly the same.
It honestly sounded like the entire female cast was done by one girl, who has no tonal range at all.

I'd rather have Koukyo tease me like that.
My problem with dubs is that most VAs, especially Funimations don't have a vocal range. They use the same voice in the bazillion dubs they're cast in, regardless of the characters appearance. People like Luci Christian, Monica Rial, Cherami Leigh, Todd Haberkorn, I could go on listing names but you get the point.
Where as Crispin Freeman can do a wide range of voices.
Who gives a flying fuck about this Maduka SHIT?
