tsugumomo?
One-Punch man yeah!
Also Yotsuba not going to happen, the author don't want it.
I hope that Madhouse adapt this one.
It really deserve an good adaptation!
They did justice to Azumanga Daioh though. There's no reason the guy should be fearful that they'll destroy Yotsuba.
Azumanga Daioh was a 4-koma (excluding a few bonus chapters done in a traditional manga format) with minimalist artwork.
Because the source material was mostly set-up, punchline, set-up, punchline, and because the manga art was fairly rudimentary, it would have been very difficult for J.C. Staff to screw up the anime adaptation (and they didn't).
I still find people who swear up and down that the AZUMANGA DAIOH manga is still much better than the anime even though the anime is a very faithful adaptation with almost nothing missing (the most I can think of was a very short segment with Chiyo working at McDonald's) and not too much filler (Kaorin's New Year's dream and most of the "One Spring Night" episode are the exceptions).
YOTSUBA&! has meticulous, detailed artwork and a very slow, deliberate pace for many chapters. It could work as an anime, but you'd need a very capable director and staff, preferably with a lot of previous experience directing iyashikei anime. Jun'ichi Satou (ARIA, TAMAYURA, plus, of course, the original, best season of SAILOR MOON, although that last one is hardly "iyashikei") would be my pick, and, even then, I'd still be very apprehensive that a lot of the charm of the manga would be lost in the anime.
It's truly a risk in that sense, but if they could make the first half of Usagi Drop into such a lovely anime, I'm sure they could do Yotsuba& justice as well.
The real problem is that it's unlikely that a good production team would be handed the reins of a project like this, because it smells like a surefire money-maker. I have no doubt that the big studios would be more interested in that then doing the anime justice, and the small studios might not have the means to animate it to our heart's content.
Yotsuba!
They should also make an adaptation for that window girl doujin.
there isn't an ova for yotsuba?
nope. The author has said he will never allow an anime of Yotsuba to be made, not after Azumanga Daioh was bastardized in anime form.
Azumanga animation was quite good for a 4koma and for its time. :( had lots of laughs.
Lol, I thought it was good. what makes the author say it was "bastardized"?
Because I really like a Yotsuba& and I think it's much easier to animate because it has linear chapters.
On that note of probably never getting an anime, last year at Sakura-con I asked the producer of Noitamina if they had any plans to make an anime of "March Comes in Like a Lion" since they also did Honey and Clover and Eden of the East, but he said due to licensing issues with manga's publisher they couldn't.
This whole list have good taste which surprised me a lot.
ITS A TRAP!!!!
vinland saga where?
they will fuck it up if it gets animated
Wow, Yandere Kanojo is in there? Surprising, didn't know it had such a following
Hijiri!!
This list needs some Ubel Blatt
Morinaga Milk's Girl Friends. Enough said.
LIVES! It deserves an anime sooo bad. It's like Akame ga Kill times 10. Seriously guys go read the manga LIVES!
FUCK YOU. Only manga that deserve anime is ANGEL DENSETSU.
Angel densetsu? That's nice taste you got here, sir.
Isn't there already an anime of it?
Yes, there is.
2 episodes = 2 manga episodes :( What with rest?
More like pilot pisodes than normal anime. Only 2 episodes.
and pocket monster special needs too!
waiting for Kitchen Princess.
Nope, all trash.
I would love to see a One-punch Man Anime.
Just for the moon Jump fight... omg.. that would be so awesome.
It would be sad if they took the 3D animation route though : <
then yostuba cameos and does a falcon punch against saitama's one punch...then black screen, who wins?
obviously saitama. screen blacked so you dont have to see the exploded remains of a 5-years old
I still believe that 3x3 eyes deserves a better anime than the crap it got many years ago...
Agreed. It was a disappointment for something so great.
I happen to enjoy that "crap" anime, but I agree there needs to be more 3x3 eyes anime.
Well, don't forget that it's pretty old... they did the best they could with the animation techniques they had back then.
Ranma anime was crap too, but that was the limitations of the time.
I am still waiting and hoping for Yomeiro Choice to one day be animated...or at least get a sequel Yomeiro Choice PLUS...
I don't think those titles "deserve" having their story and characters pointlessly altered as they often do in anime.
Prison school...
we need a studio that got the balls to parody everything
*cough*sunrise*cough*
Already been announced it will get one. Still waiting on it!
I don't know ALL the manga listed here. :|
I've heard of one or two, than the other are new to me as well. But of course, I barely read manga and follow on their news.
Too early for drifters anime
yeah, the manga content aint no where enough for anime. but it still deserve to get its animated when time comes.
the trailer for it hyped me alot
Uwagaki needs one.
http://myanimelist.net/manga/41893/Uwagaki
agreed. one of the overlooked gem. it's not a long-ass manga so it would've made a decent 13 episode anime
whoever downvoted this should get skewered in the ass with a cypress pole
I would love to see Onepunch-Man as an anime. It would be freaking awesome, but the one anime I want right now the most is Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou.
I love Monmusu, but it's too random for an anime. Monsugaru would be better choice.
Also, nice shoujo choices, specially oresama.
