Japanese space team Hakuto have announced plans for an unmanned lunar expedition to reenact Evangelion’s “Spear of Longinus” piercing of the moon, although of course they do not plan to pay for it themselves.
Hakuto have resorted to crowd-funding site Readyfor to garner the cash – which stands at a whopping ¥100,000,000, or about $1,000,000; with the deadline being April 5th.

The campaign has already gained about ¥11,245,000 in but a single day (and is now at ¥30,000,000) – should the project ever be fully funded, fans can expect the spear to be launched aboard a spacecraft from the US in a stunning display, with supporters receiving illustrations, T-shirts, replicas of the spear and other sundry trinkets (or alternatively, for the team to run off with the cash or beg for even more after it is fully funded and underway).
Of bloody course they wont pay for it, they expect Evangelion fans who would give their lives for an over pretentious, peice of s♥♥t anime series that has only one good thing going for it, music. This project is a waste of money if it ever actually gets funded.
