Straight from the latest Nintendo Direct has come word of a brand new entry into the Fire Emblem franchise for the 3DS entitled “Fire Emblem IF”, sure to be bursting at the seams with more of the classic SRPG elements the series has become synonymous with – though perhaps with new mechanics and ideas likely to be in scant supply as usual.
The thrilling trailer:
No information concerning features or what the game’s story will focus on has been made available, nor even the significance behind its peculiar name – though surely it will only be a matter of time before such revelations come to light, along with a proper release date.
Looks like they finally added feet to the models now. Hooray!
They should just go back to sprites and continue the great GBA games,… maybe give us a prequel about the 8 great heroes from back then, with Athos, Bramimond, etc.
That would be epic.
I hope it has some Mass Effect/Dragon Age-style save state carry-overs, like all the decisions you made back in Awakening affects the events of IF.
So did they just drop the crossover with Shin Megami Tensei?
This looks amazing. But… where is our Advance Wars sequel? ._.
Advance wars didn’t “click” enough with Japanese audiences so they will most likely ignore it now.
