Amazon Japan has unveiled sales data for their best selling anime discs of 2014, unexpectedly revealing that even the likes of Madoka and Love Live! cannot triumph over the might of Gundam.
1. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 7 – First Edition
2. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Rebellion – Limited Edition
3. Love Live! School Idol Project Season 2 Volume 1 – Limited Edition
4. Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin – Limited Edition
5. The iDOLM@STER Movie: Kagayaki no Mukougawa e! – Limited Edition
6. Girls und Panzer: Kore ga Hontou no Anzio-sen Desu!
7. Kabukimonogatari Volume 1 – Limited Edition
9. Kabukimonogatari Volume 2 – Limited Edition
10. Otorimonogatari Volume 1 – Limited Edition
How do you call panstu in the Idolmaster picture? I mean that one with the red bow and white color material.
From this list you could guess Japanese only know of limited editions.
And by four years, Gundam Unicorn was the best seller, now is Gundam THE ORIGIN time to be the best seller
Are you sure? Because Reconguista in G flopped hard by Gundam standards, the sales were awful.
It may have done better if it made any sense.
Because it was mainly seen as an experiment of Tomino’s like Overman King Gainer rather than a Hardcore UC story ala Unicorn/The Origin or a light hearted story like Build Fighters (which has some really good animators working on it)
I think this a reasonable list, even though I wasn’t able to get any of the metioned series.
Just bought all BDs of Mashin-Douru wa Kizutsukanai and the BD version of Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace.
Indeed, it’s not as “Oh come the f♥♥k on!!” as a lot of the past ones have been.
That’s because it’s based on spending cash, not on idiotic polls.

>Kabukimonogatari Volume 2 – Limited Edition
Did limited edition meant they had the uncensored nude scenes or what?
Limited edition in the case of bluerays means in Japan that they include artbooks, wallpapers, figures, etc.
How hard is to understand? In Japan its do or die for fans. You either support the shows you love or you don’t get more of them. Every sale counts.
