Rampantly popular smartphone title “Puzzle & Dragons” (which recently celebrated over 41 million downloads worldwide) has announced a collaboration with Nintendo for a 3DS game that will incorporate some Mario Brothers content into the fast-paced puzzler.
The game will use familiar faces and settings from Nintendo’s most famous franchise, while also keeping to the basic gameplay that made Puzzle & Dragons such a hit – some new mechanics will be implemented however, though there is no information concerning them as of yet.

Considering their usually reserved stance when it comes to lending use of their characters to other companies, the crossover certainly seems unusual – although Nintendo cannot be said to have much going for it at present…
The game will arrive on April 29th for the 3DS.
