The last arc was so retarded I gave up. Unless the random bus tour was to some shitty third world country I can't believe it would take more than 2 days to find a bus full of children. I just can't suspend my disbelief for that lord of the flies stuff.
Had been enjoying the series until this arc even if it obviously was rushing through material that deserved more time.
Ok the problem is that he took a different route.. But the stupidity of the sensei and the girls.. they were not prepared with a signal fire or a mirror to signal the helicopter when it flew by just out of range to see the bus.
The other stupidity why the hell would you go down the mountain and not follow along the road until you could find a way to get on the road? That was just utter stupidity.
Yeah, that was retarded. Especially when there is a road above. You think someone would notice a barrier being trashed or someone with common sense to follow that road to civilization.
Or the girl's survival instincts lacking in using the bus's mirror or using the gas as a signal.

It was a thick forest in an area with no railing on a very unused back-road and the area around it messed with compasses making it extremely hard to find.
Not sure how the anime handled it but in the game there was even a point where a helicopter was searching over the area and they couldn't get its attention. Not to mention that during the days the girls went missing there was no indicator where they MIGHT have gone missing.
The worst part was they were literally 3-4 hours away from Civilization on foot, but the forest was so thick that it made it hard to get a sense of direction, especially without a working compass.
