Is Rance the most enduring hentai franchise of all time? I'd say it is.
Okay, for once these stills are truly good enough that I need to check it out to see if the animation quality matches at all. If it does, I will be incredibly happy. Mindless sex can be saved for the random doujin stuff. I want to see them basically make an anime that has sex and sensuality as a plot point... which some have done of course, but few do well. Kiss x Sis has still been one of the most erotic anime out there, hotter than probably every hentai I've seen because it was done right in how it built up the scenes and the characters grew as part of the scenes. This may cycle back to default hentai shots during sex, but if they can integrate it somehow, it'll be much better.
You should look elsewhere. Basically, Rance fucks everything female he can whenever he wants (and regardless whether the girl wants - expect the BS hentai excuse that she ends up enjoying it anyway). Expect no sexual tension being built up between the characters and certainly no development resulting from it.
On the plus side, some of the situations are actually so seriously hot that even a (sexually submissive) girl can enjoy it as pure fantasy.

Sexual tension being built up can be done in many ways. Midnight Sleezy Train is one of the best I've seen. It caught me completely off guard by how hot the scenarios were, but by the end of the second episode, I was forgetting it was a hentai and was wondering what was going to happen in the end to the characters. And I loved the ending so much actually, it was exactly what I was hoping for.
A character screwing everything female is not a lack of 'depth,' Highschool DxD kind of being the non-hentai version of that, but basically that scenes are not just a means to the next sex scene, but there's something there that makes it 'fun' and/or makes the series feel somewhat like it wasn't just for the sex.
Basically I'm sick of stupid people complaining when someone wants some depth in pornography. God forbid you masturbate and smile/feel something else at the same time.
Nothing wrong with that but Rance ain't that. It's basically a cartoon for immature adults.
Who even cares? It's *supposed* to be like that. It's not supposed to be deep and complex. It's supposed to be amusing. That's what Rance is all about. It's pretty much what the series has always been about it.
