Legendary visual novel developer Key has announced the name of their new secret anime project, prosaically titled “Charlotte”, and also released a teaser trailer that divulges very little about the project.
The anime was revealed during the Key Visual Arts Conference, where it was also declared that Maeda Jun would be writing the script, Na-Ga would illustrate the character designs and P.A. Works would go about producing the series – a perfect Key pedigree.
The rather bland trailer:

While little has been revealed about the upcoming series, the title will likely be destined for positive acclaim considering the massive popularity and success of Key’s previous releases.
Sigh… So no Rewrite adaptation in the near future?
Hope this one is not some s♥♥t like Angelbeats.
Maeda loses his insight after clannad, indeed.
Good story is the meat, sex is just the topping.
5 years after Angel Beat means nothing, there was no concept of time in the world the characters were in, we also had no idea how long it took for Otonashi and Angel to revive and meet as different people in the real world.
Lol…. they meant that Angel Beats was made 2010 and this project is in 2015…
It does say “5 years after Angel Beats!”, so the question is, are they referring to the 5 real-world years since AB!, or 5 years in-story if Charlotte is a sequel/spinoff?
