Eh, the first half of the first season is still the best.
For someone who’s read all the novels is there anything else like that in them? Where when they play the game their lifes are on the line.
SAO-II: AIDS Of The Season.
Amen Brother!!- Preach the truth
The author never did cover if she uploaded her mind to the net similar to what Kayaba did. The technology was there.
All the bitching people do about anime is funny saying how stuff wasn’t necessary. It’s a godamn show on TV. When was that ever necessary? Live and let live you tools.
LOL – this is why people care about “Game of thrones” or “The Walking Dead” – Those storys & death actually mattered & are story game changers.
When you invest yourself in a narrative – you want to feel like it “Mattered” – like “Les Miserables”or something. This is why this show is just panties & popcorn – it wants to sell depth but it’s really just an excuse for itself to be on the air
It can’t be tolerated because we have LEARNED that a REHASH OF A REHASH sells which companies would pursue en masse. Just look at the seasons passing by, not over 10 animes are actually great to buy in BD.
SAO rode in the stupid hype because we LET IT LIVE.
Incidentally, to prove my point, here is why I like SAO.
It’s a story that started with a simple premise, that a group of people with largely no relation to each other are made stuck in a game where to complete the game they must live in the game and work together to complete it. The idea that people can die then makes it so that there is something at stake other then the sheer amount of time it would take to complete the game. Of course there is a lot of wasted potential here, as I would have liked to have seen more of the regular people who got stuck there. Of course, the light novel is what this was based off of and didn’t go in that direction so that would have been tricky.
You can’t really cover everything otherwise a book gets bloated. Kirito was one of the few examples of people who tried to really live in the world. Maybe the only one. It’s one of the reasons why Yuuki warned Asuna about him being different, in a way not entirely dissimilar to her.
The main ideas behind SOA, Fairy Dance, GGO, and Mother’s Rosario, was to see the story of a character who was experiencing problems and how they overcame or tried to overcome them. My favourite yet least favourite of these was the Mother’s Rosario arc. I’m not particularly fond of the idea using a terminal illness as a thing to try and move a story along. On the other hand, this does allow for the exploration of uses of a technology. Nerve gear, and the Amusphere were the forerunners of a medical technology to try and deal with terminal illness. Looking at technology to use it for ways not intended is how we find and improve things into things that work better and improve life.
Honestly I could go on a while longer but I’ve proven my point at this point, at least to all but those who are the most mentally retarded. Of course, this is my opinion. It isn’t right either. But it’s a better opinion then those who just s♥♥t on things without actually making a discussion about it.
Yea, see, I like it. So, what is your point? What is this rehashing exactly? Or is this just you being a fucking douche? Getting a completely original story nowadays doesn’t happen. As for the f♥♥k pipe down below, just because the story doesn’t matter to you doesn’t mean it didn’t matter to someone else. Also, panties? There weren’t that many panties. Actually I’m sorta not remembering any aside from Sinon. But of course it’s OK for Game of Thrones to throw around real life naked chicks yea? Sure is a lot of depth there. Fucking retards. No, I’m not saying Game of Thrones doesn’t have depth. Just that aspect.
Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. Unless you can actually put together a well constructed argument behind it all you have is an opinion which isn’t worth the s♥♥t between your ears that came up with it.
Opinions can be wrong. Before anyone tries telling me otherwise, in my opinion, opinions can be wrong. Go f♥♥k yourselves and try getting around that please, I love watching people try.
This happend in real life too. A final fantasy XIV player was also dying and the mmo communityof XIV held a vigil for him.
Guess we now know where the ending came from
There have been vigils for dead or dying players in every MMO I’ve ever played.
Possibly. Does SAO: Mother’s Rosario predate or postdate that specific event in FFXIV?
Back when Guild Wars was a new thing I had a guild mate who was killed in a car accident. Guild mates from all over the country came to his funeral, though that was outside of the game. I don’t think any of us will forget Yeldarb The Brave.
The light novel of Mother’s Rosario was published April 8, 2011. Though as said by earlier, there have been these kinds of things before.
The FF event happend last weekend. But there are other similar stories about gamers dying and the community from the games they played doing this kinda things.
i watched some it on a livestream, powerful stuff.
