Criminal Girls: Invite Only Trailer Revealed

TheCriminalGirls-RPG

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming western translation of delinquent RPG Criminal Girls: Invite Only, “revealing” the game’s famous punishment scenes – which look likely to provoke another surge of outraged white knighting from the non-Japanese gaming media mafia.

NIS America has pointed out that some changes had to be made in order for the game to arrive in the US – likely referring to the sexually explicit punishment scenes where players can tastefully spank their party members into obtaining levels.

The new fog-riddled (which despite popular opinion was present even in the Japanese version) trailer:

The first trailer and its gameplay montage:

Some punishment scenes unobscured by pretty pink smog:

Criminal Girls: Invite Only will arrive next year on February 3rd for the Vita.

    >no voices
    >no ero scenes
    >now-pointless mini-games (what left of them)
    >rewrited "translation"
    >inevitable NISA-tier game-breaking bugs
    0/10, wouldn't even pirate it.

It really is a lie, there is absolutely no law that forbids the original game to be released, in america there are already people publishing physical copies of lolicon eromanga and this can't be considered pornography even, they just want to avoid bad press, i'll never buy this.

Wrong. The first image is a final level of the mini game. NISA's image is the initial level. The fog clears as you clear mini game levels. So much ignorance in this comment section.

Nope. Fog stays, only less dense "to cover certain areas".

“So, to be clear, Criminal Girls will simply have more fog added and see the Japanese voices of the girls during the mini-games removed as well.”

Typical spineless company bowing down to the demands of people who were never going to buy their product in the first place. You'd think that Rockstar's success with telling everyone to fuck off and reveling in the "controversy" would clue someone in as to the right way to handle this sort of thing.

NIS America should just submit the game uncensored to ESRB. If they want changes so be it, but they look less like pussies by going this route rather than being scared shitless of the politically correct and feminists(Both the male and female kind..) kicking up a fuss.

They're just building there own graves by this point. I don't even care if I can't understand the majority of a game, so long as it's in it's original form, I'm grateful. But if translating these niche Japanese games mean that they have make certain EDITS and CHANGES, then I might as well stick to importing. Thanks nisa for losing some consumers.

Yeah, they're really shooting themselves in the foot by censoring games that would normally appeal to a fanbase of which quite a few members have at least some decent understanding of Japanese anyway. It's made all the worse for them when said games are on region-free systems.

I dont understand what the point is in deciding to bring this game over in the first place, if they know they are going to have to change it.

I also dont get why they think they have to change it anyway. I mean, there isnt any nudity is there?

Funimation brought over Dance in the Vampire Bund, and had no problems not censoring it.

Yeah, and then Funimation removed the Kobato look-alike nudity in Haganai Next episode 2; even on their blu-ray release.

Funimation isn't a good example to look towards as they've censored blu-ray discs at least a few times at this point.

Sankaku will still shill for them and NISA though, despite both of them bringing their respective industries down concerning Japanese material in the west.

Funimation even released Sankarea censored on DVD/BD(Used Broadcast editions), promised fans they would release uncensored, but nothing over a year later. They claimed it was a mistake but I call bullshit, they knew what they were doing. This is why I won't pre order a Funimation series until someone has verified its uncensored.

holy s*** this guy is right. I was going to say you're wrong but then I checked the funi dub version of ep 2, that scene with kobato in one of sena's h-games uses the tv broadcast version which zooms closer to kobato instead of the version where we can see a guy plowing her. So now I know Funi will show loli nudity but not loli sex even if it's softcore.

Actually ESRB hadn't seen any problems with not censored game - it would got the same rating it get anyway. If you want to blame someone, blame NISA for pushing their agenda and licensing games so they could censor and break them.

And looking at the images, the girls in this game are at the very least teenagers, so not really little kids. Also, it's 2D so not real.

TBH There is nothing in the game that even needs to be censored, I mean senran kagura has simmlar moaning noises in it and it gets past censors just fine, This is just NISA catering to the minoritys who won't even buy the game anyway to avoid bad press. IMO these game studio's need to grow a pair of balls and stand up to these idiots saying "if you don't like the content don't buy it" Them censoring the game actually hurts sales pretty badly I've seen games with worse scenes than criminal girls come out.

Lewd aside, removing the dialogue from certain scenes is not a good thing. A lot of this title is in the dialogue.

Even assuming no censorship, NISA has no respect for translation accuracy. Just take a look at Trinity Universe.

That said, the unfortunate illiterate have no choice but the beg at the alter of NISA.

Most of them also have no programming skills but that's another issue.

So you are comparing a level 1 (max fog) session to a max level (no fog) session? Good job.

Look at the levels shown off to the right before the minigame actually starts. You'd be surprised.

If I can have it censored or not at all, I'd rather have it not at all. And of course I won't buy censored stuff. That's like the worst thing to do as a consumer.

Besides, I played the original. Understood pretty much everything that was going on and even made it to the "post game" or something. The thing you can unlock after you've seen the credits. Never beat the post game bosses, though. Tough fuckers are tough and by that point I kinda lost interest anyway.

Rather play post game of Etrian Odyssey I-III ^^
