Gory murder anime Akame ga Kill has at last brought its series of brutal killings to a close, wrapping up most loose ends and squeaking in a couple more deaths perhaps solely for further “shock” value – and proving to be quite the joyride for fans with its onslaught of murderously top-notch action and drama.

They cut the manga short. Actually everybody died.

Good news is (manga spoiler) certain characters, especially these girls, were supposed to die in the manga but the anime spared them. That's something.

If I recall correctly, these girls died from sadistic slave owners in the manga extra. Poor canon bastards.
**manga spoilers**
and Bols' wife and daughter were raped and murdered by Syura. In the anime they are alive too.
But seriously, I don't remember those 3....
**manga spoilers**
anime ver = good ending
actually by shuras subordinate, champ the clown
No, Shurya played with them, too.
Champ only took "care" of his daughter as he's a mega pedophile and kills his victims to prevent them from growing up.
Damnit I didnt even bother to watch the anime ive been waiting for the manga chapters thinking it would be ahead of the anime i didnt know the anime was doing the whole fucking series in one fell swoop wtf man!?
Manga story going be different.
the anime's story deviated from the manga at episode 20
you have nothing to worry about
At least the useless male MC prick is dead.
main character was Akame but she was so boring the story was told from Tatsumi's perspective. And even though he was annoying at least he had a personality unlike the cliche boring crap that is Akame.
Amen to that. I still don't understand why people like this anime. I started to watch it, starded nicely... Okay, some deaths, that is realistic. Then you realize the deaths are pointless and the main character Akame
is plain boring. Great narrative, yes, AOTY my balls.
Pretty much nailed it. Though Tatsumi is also full of cliches
Tatsumi? Personality?
More than Akame
That's true. In the end I still don't know who the fuck is Akame.
Maybe in the anime she was the main character, but that's due to fanservice, but you're 300% retarded if you think she was the MC in the manga. Aka, the original story. Basically every single chapter features Tasumi, barely half of them feature Akame, if this. Tatsumi shows character development, and has a clear definition of where he was, to where he is. Akame is stagnant, does nothing at all. Just happens to be able to cut things and they die.
There's also the fact that the entire story is told from Tatsumi's side, the story started with him, and everything centers around him.
A piece of plank has more personality than Akame.
Wow you manage get to see his dick(or prick)? What kind of dick you like then? BIG ONE to fit your PUSSY?
2 people lived.. man that was a hard hitting series; even though I loved it.
Leone death was unnecessary though and also and Asspull.
Most deaths were, at least in the anime. They all feel really hollow and some just downright dumb with zero emotional weight to them
what a rushed mess those last few episodes were with people dying left and right just because. There were more plot holes than holes on a strainer. It's been a while since the last time I've seen mediocrity like this in an anime.
At least the final battle was kinda decent even though it made no sense and it was so over the top it felt like you were watching a completely different show. But seriously, when did Akame became so powerful anyway? She couldn't handle her sister and she had problems taking out Bols, the weakest member of Jaeger, but then there she was with some bullshit power-up cutting down ice blocks of the size of a skyscraper with her skinny spaguetti arms and a sword meant to cut flesh.
It's once stated that Maintaining her Sword was nerve-wracking as a cut would also kill her...but nope...she cut herself, got a level up and didn't die. she only got some tacky tattoos...
that was the original story.
They made a jump-cut several chapters ahead in the manga(and then went past the current chapter) at the end of that arc where they were going after that religion's 2nd in command.(They even skipped the fight like they suddenly had to change the script while they were in the middle of animating that episode.) They probably didn't get green-lit for a 2nd season, so they decided to try to end it in the last few episodes as a last resort.
It rather appears WhiteFox had a disagreement with the manga's author and went "turbo" on the story, writing their own crap a la full metal alchemist and gantz.
I guess that's how the child-emperor got himself a Gundam with a death-ray...
I haven't seen the end of the Gantz anime, but it can't be worse than the manga.
She was hiding her trump card... Everyone has their trump card.. Like Tatsumi. But he died..
They were dying left and right because that makes the Japanese happy in their panties.
No, it doesn't. Most people who I talked with who are Japanese living in Japan on various forums were totally down on this anime, saying that it was a piece of tripe with good animation but a horrible downer story line.
It was rushed because the manga didn't have high sales in Japan so White Fox created their own end.
They skipped so many things :(
Well, it's all bullshit really..
Half of the characters are dead/didn't die in the manga, and Tatsumi sure as fuck didn't fight a GUNDAM...
I only watched two episode... So what did I missed?
You didn't really miss much at all.
Nothing really
An anime with a boring plot with its only redeemable asset being its decent character interactions, then proceeds to start rolling down hill as it quickly kills off its only good asset and tries to focus on its boring ass plot then takes a nose dive as the anime tries to rush the last few episodes, making it's own god awful ending with so many plot holes it makes you wonder why the hell you were watching this anime to begin with.
It started off well enough, but having seen the whole thing now, I'd say just read the manga if you're still interested as the anime goes downhill and badly.
>win the revolution war
>become a wanted war criminal
>do nothing
>become a high ranked official of the new empire
I love how RA works.
Lets all be honest here, she has been an assassin her entire life, being some sort of official would never work.
That's life.
What a shit...
Kill a character in one episode, kill a character in another episode, kill another, kill another.... Hate to tell the people who made this thing, but most of us do not dig the 'downer endings'.
Which is what this thing has, a downer ending.
A shame it's over; it's like an anime version of GoT -- none of the characters are safe. If you have a favorite, there was a distinct risk he or she would be offed.
The violence was pretty much over the top, but yes war is hell and civil war double so. I'm glad it didn't pull any punches. The only downside is that some of the characters were left a little underdeveloped before they were killed.
After watching the last fight, this series could have ended in episode 2 after all.
Akame vs Esdeth? Boring much?
Today's lesson: Evil, vices, and crime will always triumph over the good FOREVER. Justice is mostly a mere fictional fantasy, and it's a fact. Deal with it, justicefags.
