The recent “PlayStation Experience” keynote has revealed that there are plans to bring the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII to the PS4, albeit perhaps not in the form that the game’s legion of devoted fans desire.
The soon to be PS4 game is merely a port of the previously released and marginally enhanced PC version – a PV was also revealed, though why one was needed is beyond comprehension:
It seems fans will have to to bide their time for quite a while longer, but whether Square Enix is even capable of accomplishing a worthy remake of such a cult classic already seems doubtful – though Final Fantasy VII for the PS4 will arrive next spring all the same.
Square Enix, trolling and giving cancer from 2002.
Square should have merged with Capcom instead of Enix, and then renamed themselves to “Regurgitron”.
haha, square enix thinks anyone cares about anything they make? that ship has sailed long ago. young children can’t appreciate ff7, and the people old enough to have played it and have the nostalgia factor have given up the ghost.
Dat form factor! -__-
FF7 doesn’t need a remake, it’s fine as is. At least Square Enix isn’t listening to fanwank. People only want it remade as its the first JRPG they ever played, its not the best game ever, far from it. It’s massively overrated. I would say leave as is.
