People overhype final fantasy 7 and forget about less popular but good games such as legend of dragoon

Legend of Dragoon is mediocre at best without nostalgia goggles. It's quite literally poor man's PSX Final Fantasy.

Wanting Sony to remake the original GRAN TURISMO, I fully understand. Kind of. Maybe. I guess. People want the original experience with the music and menus and the same selection of cars and tracks (mind-blowingly extensive for 1998 even if extremely limited compared to most modern console racers), but with modern graphics and draw distance (and maybe finally interiors).

I don't see the point of wanting Sony to remake GRAN TURISMO 6 since I take it as a given that GRAN TURISMO 7 on the PS4 will have everything in GT6 on PS3 plus more cars and tracks.

I mean, if there was one GRAN TURISMO that would be awesome to remake, it would be GRAN TURISMO 3 with A-Spec and B-Spec versions (probably both included on the same disk).

I agree. Also on the same note, I don't see the point of a DQVIII remake. It was perfect as it was. The older games I could understand but the fairly new ones are unnecessary. :)

final fantasy X already has a hd remake so why is it on this list

    Comment by Anonymous
    03:32 05/12/2014 # ! Neutral (0)

The remake was outsourced to a contracted studio, who then did it for cheap.

Xenogears should be at the top of the list, and be the only game on said list. Xenosaga was awful, but because Square wouldn't give a license.

Agree. Xenogears and Vagrant Story in HD for the PS4
    would be great.

Xenosaga wasn't awful, it was just badly planned out. It was meant to be a 6 game series but by the 2nd game they went off the rails, there was a lot of problems behind the scenes and a ton of content got cut. Several notable people left as they weren't happy with the direction as it deviated from the original idea. So much was cut in Xenosaga Episode 2.

    Xenosaga Episode 1:

Spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY on the first game (despite establishing a desire to do 6 games.____ Still think they only wanted to be competitive after .Hack// did a 4 Part Game series)

    1. Expensive Orchestrated Soundtrack that featured not one, but TWO final theme songs.

    2. Nearly 5 HOURS worth of MOVIE... making it hard to notice the 40~ hours of actual game play.

    3. If you were stupid enough to get the Super Mecha Pieces... the final boss was a one-hit kill. It was actually more rewarding to NOT get it.

    4. After Game Save, you couldn't do anything after the game to prepare for the next game (.Hack - created at least one boss/dungeon that rewarded the player for completing the Volume.)

    5. Once Xenosaga had established a FANbase, they decided to change the character styles, music, and story-telling styles that made the game unrecognizable to the then FANS of the first game... LOST FANBASE = LOST 6 GAME GOAL.

Truth... Xenosaga was still fun, and a good game for what it was in general. But knowing what it could/should have been is what makes it such a tragedy.

Definitely! I think they should remake all the games whose story wasn't complete and had to rely on printed material for completion (XG, Saga Frontier).

2012 or not, it was a flaming pile of shit and can barely be considered a game. Therefore, it needs to be remade into something worthy of the RE title.

I liked how the story was intertwined betweeen campaings and controls are the best that I´ve played in the TPS. My most complaints would be too much QTEs and Leon campaings latter part having mostly boss fight that were boring and tiring and how they just keep coming back. Otherwise it was OK( at least against 5).
Funny that they put RE even if the HD is coming. Why not 0, 2, 3, Code Veronica or Outbreak 1 and 2.
Capcom has so many IPs that deserve a remake, a sequel or an HD update. Onimusha, Power Stone, God Hand, SF Alpha, Megaman X, Red Earth etc. etc.

Mega Man X did get a remake in the form of Maverick Hunter X. Sadly, it along with Mega Man Powered Up (the latter being an especially sad case, since the series would've let us play with the fucking robot masters themselves) were canned after just the first game, presumably because the PSP wasn't all that popular at that point (that, and Capcom's general treatment of the franchise around that time started going completely to shit).

It wasn't all bad. Granted it lacked the "survival horror" part of RE. But as an action game it was okay. And hey, at least there was no boulder punching. :D

What kind of remakes would people want Kingdom hearts 1&2/ Dragon quest 8, and final fantasy 10 to have?
They all already have HD Remakes, which have bonus content, and slightly improved controls.

I'm surprised people could mention a Dragon Quest 8 remake on a Sony poll. Don't they realize that, given how the series has been going, a remake is more liable to appear on a Nintendo portable if anything? I don't believe a Sony console has had a Dragon Quest remake ever since DQ5 on the PS2 (and that got usurped by the DS remake not long afterwards). Meanwhile, Nintendo's had a consistent stream of portable remakes all the way from DQ1+2 on the Game Boy Color up to the recent 3DS remake of DQ7. I couldn't imagine a DQ8 remake not ending up on their platforms.
