Hoshizora Rin Sega’s New Image Girl

Lovely idol Hoshizora Rin of Love Live! has earned the honorable position of being Sega’s new staff image girl, with the cheery girl wearing an official staff uniform in celebration while grasping the lifeless husk of Sega’s long extinct mascot.
The campaign initially involved voting from fans to select a Love Live! idol to serve as Sega’s new image girl, with the tomboyish Rin taking the crown and a flood of merchandise in commemoration being put up for sale as a result.
AG Square is also offering up goods for ecstatic Love Live! fans via its UFO catcher arcade games, allowing players the potential to accrue points and earn more chances to win such trinkets as clear files, mini-standees and even Rin-inspired ramen.

The event will run from December 19th to the 2nd of February.

You lost me there. Sonic is everything but extinct! And except for Sonic Boom, I loved all the Sonic Games released since Sonic Unleashed! They are a lot of fun!

On that note, I have to say that I've liked all the Sonic games since Sonic '06 (I love Sonic '06 for all the wrong reasons and life is good) except Lost Worlds. Lost Worlds felt tedious and its difficulty felt more dependent on memorization of a stage than foresight on the platforming. And I haven't played Sonic Boom yet, but I'm considering getting the 3DS version, which supposedly plays more like a classic Sonic and is devoid of the bugs that plague the Wii U version.
Sonic is dead and should stay dead.

I still believe in Sonic the Hedgehog i grew up playing those games, It's just companies like BigRedbutton who had 3 years and a $20 Million dollar budget to make a game, Ended up making a Glitchy piece of crap game that can be beaten in under an hour now. Despite this game being a major blow to the Sonic's fan ego. I still think Sonic is a great game franchise.
What's that? We finally made 3D Sonic work with Generations/Colors? Better outsource our series to another company and try to get a different formula going... Honestly, people don't come back to old IPs to see a breakthrough in the gaming industry; they just want to see more of same thing with minor differences here and there.
BigRedbutton was one of the tiny development team around that grow smaller by the month. They were the perfect fall guys for Sega.

Surely a true Nintendo fan. The only real shitty games are Sonic 06, Shadow the Hedgehog and now SOnic Boom. But everything before Sonic 06/Shadow the Hedgehog and everything between Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom was just great! Yes, I even enjoyed Sonic 4 a lot!

You simply forgot a few games: sonic unleashed, sonic and the black knight, sonic riders, sonic rivals 2, etc and the list goes on... some might even include sonic and the secret rings and sonic lost world...
Of couse saying it's shit into data form is far from true, same applies to saying Sonic 2006 and shadow are the only bad games
