Tales of Zestiria x Idolmaster

The latest entrant into the Tales series, “Tales of Zestiria” will be receiving bonus costumes based on the cheery girls of idol-breaking sim Idolmaster – sure to egregiously break game immersion much in the same vein as most DLC costumes.

Namco Bandai also showcased its “Modern-style School Uniform” costumes, which also modify the background music to better accompany the character’s change in appearance – in addition to also possessing this boon, the IdolMaster costumes also alter the in-game dialogue of characters in combat, sure to give buyers more bang for their buck.

Lastly, a video was also revealed depicting the various post-battle interactions shared between the game’s many colorful characters:

The flamboyantly stylish costumes:

Tales of Zestiria will hit shelves January 22nd for the rapidly aging PS3.

I don't understand the appeal of awkwardly styled plaid costumes. The modern clothes also stand out like a sore thumb in a fantasy setting.

I would much rather have a cool-looking outfit that is thematically appropriate to the setting while emphasizing each character's unique selling points.

Miss the old days when we had to earn the costumes in Tales games. Earning those costumes for Tear in Abyss was just fun.

Lol Old Days...Spoken like a true ignorant
-Legendia only had 2 sets of in game costumes that you can only but from the grade shop and cannot be toggled on/off
-Abyss, was the first to have equip-able in-game "costumes titles" and proper quests to get it.
-didn't play Innocence, google didn't get any result
    -Vesperia had costume Titles too.
-Xillia only have 4 in total while introducing Visual Accessories
-Xillia 2, had more in-game costumes than the first.

(This is disregarding the remakes and spin-offs)

So, nothing really changed, they just added a new business model.

The day when some skits are going to be DLC that cost real money bet you're just gonna repeat that "So, nothing really changed, they just added a new business model." like a broken record too.

I like the ignorant dipshits who forget about where costumes really started for the Tales Of Series: Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube.

Get set or get wrecked, /oldfags.

Actually Vesperia was the one that introduced visual accessories.

You wasted your time there listing the costume features on every game so far when I was talking about having to shell cash for it. So who's the ignorant one exactly?

Buying with grade =/= Buying with real life money. My point still stands. You earn the costumes by playing the game for grade and not cash. I hope that wasn't too hard for you to comprehend.

I mean really costumes that cost as much or more than the game itself? Is that really justifiable, Naoe?

I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BEING REPLACED. Get that through your thick skull.

What I mean by old days is that costumes were earned through playing the game and not that you can instantly CASH in on SOME costumes.OVERPRICED costumes that you apparently ok with?

Your point "old days" doesn't even have a leg to stand on.

You said you miss the "old days" and then refer to Abyss, that means you're implying that something changed that made it different than these new ones.
But in reality nothing changed. they only added a new business model. In-game alternate costumes still exists, it's not replaced by DLC costumes.

And lol nothing really changed? Oh wow yeah, that money grabbing scheme or scam rather isn't much of a change alright :rolls eyes: I mean back then we also paid 50$ for 18 costumes that don't look like much effort have been made right?

You're more likely to get Idolmaster DLC with other Namco games than you are to get an actual English Idolmaster game.
