Ghost in the Shell FPS Trailer Revealed

A trailer has been abruptly unleashed for an upcoming FPS based on the anime classic Ghost in the Shell, bearing all manner of thrilling fast-paced action not dissimilar to that of the anime.
Having been in development by Nexon for over a year, the game was planned to launch mid 2014 but soon fell off the radar for reasons unknown – though it recently reappeared with a trailer in tow at Korean game exhibition G-STAR 2014.

Details are largely lacking, and the absence of anime-styled visuals looks likely to prove a problem to some fans – though at least it was not based on ARISE.

The GiTS characters deserve to be in proper adaptations; getting thrown into a random futuristic fps circle-jerk does nothing for the series.
Totally agree, GITS deserves a good game adaptation and not a dumbass online FPS.
A mix between RPG and Action like Mass Effect or KOTOR Would be a better approach for a game based on GITS.

Cyberpunk 2077 is pen & paper rpg and the game will be a rpg so your comparison was retarded.

I don't know how to feel about this.
I wish that somebody would have the balls to publish a proper action-RPG around the franchise, where you could play a customisable character who joins the Section 9. Make it something like CDProjekt Red has promised of their new Cyberpunk 2077 game.

A solo campaign game would have been more interesting, you know go get your inspiration from Splinter Cell games or else.

Looks like it's based on Crysis/ runs on the Cryengine. How it utilizes tech gadgets will determine whether it is another generic shooter or not.
