Top RPG-rehasher Square Enix have begun working on the “Final Fantasy Portal App” in an effort to keep fans up to date on all Final Fantasy developments – and also allowing players to enjoy Final Fantasy 8’s staple card game, Triple Triad.
Triple Triad will be free-to-play and the player’s cards will also be available for use in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, once the card game has been fully implemented.
Screens of the app as well as Triple Triad:
Much like G-Bike before it, Triple Triad is yet another mini-game to add to Square Enix’s remake portfolio, with more originating from FF7’s Gold Saucer coming soon; the Final Fantasy Portal App itself will make its arrival sometime this winter for Android and iOS.
Shuffle or Boogie…
U guys know that this game was like 2 years old on android.
I want Crysis 4 on mobile phone.
What’s the point if I can’t refine them into OP items?
It doesn’t matter anyway, the Random rule will spread and you’ll get raped of all your rares.
Seriously this minigame was probably the absolute worst thing about FF8, and that’s saying a lot.
“Seriously this minigame was probably the absolute worst thing about FF8, and that’s saying a lot.”
If it was the worst thing, then everything else was better, and since this game is good enough someone even made a PC version long ago, then FF8 itself must have been pretty good from your logic.
finally someone that spoke the irrefutable logic
THATS SO COOL
I liked playing the cardgame that came with Final Fantasy 11, there was never really a huge amount of active players but there was always enough to have a game.
