Girl’s Und Panzer Hometown Hosts Angler Fish Festival

The previously tranquil coastal town of Oarai has become a busy ota-pilgrimage hotspot ever since Girls Und Panzer‘s inception, with the town currently celebrating its annual “Angler Fish Festival” in honor of the popular tank-busting series – which has seen to a drastic increase in visitors to no surprise.
Thousands of fans from all over have flocked to the town to participate in the festivities, with all manner of fearsome tanks, ecstatic cosplayers and impressive itasha on display:
In related news, the soon to be arriving Girls Und Panzer movie has at last been announced to debut sometime in the summer of 2015 – little has been revealed about the movie so far, but the presence of tanks and vehicular combat is surely a given.

So... how long before the novelty wears off and people stop visiting?
If the town gets invested in this too heavily, then, when the crowd finds the next big thing, the town's economy might experience a downturn.
where are the angler fish dancers at?
I watched this anime earlier this year (finally). it was underwhelming for the most part expect for the final battle. I was just disappointed that they really never developed the characters other than the main 5.
It's typical of a tournament anime. You don't get a huge amount of character development outside of the core cast.
"Develop" 25+ characters in 12 episodes? You have unrealistic expectations.
3nd season pls. Then we can talk character development.
This is my kind of festival.
This also happened with Lucky Star. The 4 core girls are now honourary citizens; I think they should do the same with the GuP cast for their city.
Worst shit to happen to that town,
that shit you mentioned is much safer than any other state in America where you expect to see overweight cosplayers,reckless and unlicensed tank drivers that drives over 100mph across the freeway and anywhere-goes-spit-shooting angler fishermen.
