Gotta admit that Nazi Germany had the best military uniforms :)
They are actually dressing in a mashup of traditionally Japanese furisode attire and WW2 era Japanese military outfits which were of course inspired by their WW2 allies, the Nazi.
Seriously. The Nazi had crazy cool tech, nice uniforms, classy music, brilliant generals and brave soldiers. It's stupid to think everything about them has to suck just because of the holocaust.
The closing parts of the Second World War features overengineered pieces of crap on the part of the Nazis however. Not to mention purging the effective generals or just outright ignoring them. Dictators seem to have serious vanity and hubris issues all the damn time. Must be occupational hazard.
Still nice uniforms though.
